I have seen Mike play several times around North Carolina and have been very impressed with his game as well as his professionalism. Mike Davis is a class act and deserves the right to be considered one of the best players of the game. I'm sure the little lady is very proud of you...
Way to go Mike!!!:clapping: :clapping: :bow-down: :bow-down:

Way to go Mike!!!:clapping: :clapping: :bow-down: :bow-down:

In 07 he came to Texas and played in a couple our tournaments and I was very impressed by Mike. SImply a very decent and nice young man.

Is this his second Reno title? I seem to remember him winning it before? Anyone know where i can get the past winners. Reno seems to produce quite afew 'first timers' i believe.

From the few times I saw him in Greensboro and at The Open... The man is so unassuming, humble and decent. I saw/listened to him giving a 14.1 lesson to the pretty lady he came with. I doubt he has a mean bone in his body. I bought a J/B cue in great part due to his input. Nice time-out!

Congrat's Mike!!!

Congrats Mike

Although I have never met Mike and have only seen him in televised matches he seems to be a very nice and well mannered young man. He along with Shane V. will do much to dispell the image of the Ugly American. We have players comparable (close at least) to Efren's ability and we are gaining in the role model catagory. Good luck in your future Mike!!!

Yeah! I book another winner, thanks gpeezy.

Mike is a stand-up guy. The first time I went to Derby City I had a rather unknown player with me and was in action. Mike walked up and started watching the match. At the time, I believe Mike was ranked top 5 and we spoke for a minute or two. He was very humble and could not have been any nicer. When I asked him what he thought of the play of my player he said he thought the guy played nearly even with him and was very complimentary. Mike is a good guy.

Congradulations on the win Mike...Mike maybe a nice guy but he also showed the heart of a beast in that final match. Down 7-1 he found an overdrive gear just in time. On a tough Diamond he came with it to win in true championship fashion. One of the most impressive wins I've seen in a long time.

Once you get by his unusual stroke(it's like he is pumping water:))you realize this guy is top tier in the world and should be feared by all.
I'd like to thank Mike from AZ for the live free streaming, it was great.

This is def his 2nd Reno Open. Mike is the nicest guy on earth - congrats!

I know for a fact that he won the US Bar Table Championship 9 ball event in Reno in 2006. He beat Edwin in the finals the same year Edwin got 2nd in both events.

Congrats to Mike. Good to see a guy that is from where I am living do so well. Well deserved.

Mike did a fantastic job!!!

He is my good buddy and I am really happy to see him do it again - even though he beat me in both Reno opens he won. LOL!

Great job man!!!

CONGRATULATIONS MIKE DAVIS!

Mike is a unique individual. I met him recently at the Great Southern Billiard Tour Championship in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

He was drinking these huge cups of coffee two days in a row and didn't look well but I took a chance that I wouldn't come down with whatever he had and asked him about the coffee. We had a very nice conversation and talked about the tournament for about 30 minutes in between our matches. Mike remarked that he normally didn't drink coffee but he was feeling very tired because of the cold he had and was hoping that it might perk him up.

He and I also teamed up in the commentator's booth to do commentary on one of the tournament matches at King Street Billiards.

Mike is everything that all of you are saying.

Mike Davis is a very classy guy.

I have a unique story about his technique that I will save for the commentator's booth.

You can check out Mike's history of wins (on AZ Billiards player profile) as Mike is always a threat to win any of the tournaments he plays in. He cashes and wins QUITE often.

A Big Congratulations to Mike Davis. My wife and I were watching and she sat there in the living room and clapped every time he won a rack and cried when he won the tournament. It was great to watch him string together that 5 rack run and then go on to win it all.

I want to thank Mike from AZBTV for all the streaming he did at this tournament. It was great.

I also want to thank everyone on here for all the kind words about Mike Davis's character. it warms my heart to hear them.

Thank You all, Mike Davis Sr

You and your wife have done a fine job raising Iron Mike...

In the case of Mike Davis, I've always admired the man and his game. He's a worthy champion indeed. Well played, Mike.

Don't forget that the entire Mike Davis household were undefeated winners this weekend, Mikes Ladie Katie won my Friday night tournament with a full field of 32 real strong players by going undefeated also. Congrats to you both --Leonard
