Don't joke man, this actually happened to me. I'm watching at work with no sound, and the supervisor comes up behind me and strikes up a conversation for 5 minutes. Missed the last two racks dang it!!

It was ridiculous. Ken had mistakenly called a foul, so why should Boyes have to pick it back up? Especially when there's no rule that you have to pick up the cue ball and put it back down even after a real foul. Ken was a terrible ref in that match, and Boyes did nothing wrong.

Going back to this briefly as I was too busy watching but although the ref made a mistake Boyes acted immature to just sit back down despite the ref telling him he made a mistake. As for picking the ball back up I believe he may have said it because Boyes had been placing it the whole duration that the ref was informing the coaches about the mistake he made as Boyes had the bih after informing him and had clearly been placing it while the ref wasn't watching.

Now the trick is....to get the general public...who comprise 90% of the players that play pool to ''watch'' a shot such as what Shane shot.... and too UNDERSTAND IT'S AMAZING SKILL....if that happens..... we'll get the Color of Money crowd back in the picture....that can only be good for the sport.
