So let me see if I got this right: you don't play, you're not a player, don't got any chance to play, you're not on the team. Did I get that right per your definition because if I did there are a lot of guys wearing Super Bowl rings that weren't on the team and shouldn't be wearing rings like: every member of the active roster; the coaching staff; the entire front office and ownership; the cheerleaders; Injured Reserve and practice squad; even some of the traded players.

Sorry Lou, no sale here. I have a friend (Jesse ?) who played on the taxi squad for the Steelers twice when they won the Super Bowl. He not only didn't get a ring, he didn't get anything! I would bet a dollar to a donut that no cheerleader ever got a Super Bowl ring. They don't hand them out like candy!
