ok here's mine:

1. Have you ever had a break and run? YES
2. What was your largest pack (Practice or against an opponent)? practice:2 opponent:1 :o
3. Do you gamble? If so, cheap or expensive or both? i would like to for cheap sets. but very hard to find
4. How much have you ever won in one night? 50$ in snooker vs a chinese guy. 5. Have you ever read a book to help you improve your game and has it helped? yes, many. all help in some way.
6. Do you think gambling will help/hurt/do nothing to your game? help!: its all about believing that u can win
7. Have you won a singles tournament before? never, never even made it into the price money
8. What was your best moment shooting pool? my first tournament i ever played in. and a match that i lost. it was the first time i was in a big open, and i had to play a duth guy. friends told me he was a bad player, so i wouldnt get freaky. i won first 3 racks, missed, and he run a 5pack on me. first time i see a 3+ pack life. i was upset i lost vs him (as they told me has sucked), but i didnt thought he was a bad player at all... at 5-3 they told me he's a well known dutch pro who plays internationally :p now my biggest pride is a loss.
9. Can you describe your first break and run against an opponent. if so, lets hear it. i was playing the lights out, but it was a first round match vs a guy who never played pool in his life. im still sad that it wasnt a top player who saw it. (i lost all the other matches playing crap). so a B&R but with not a super feeling around it. first time i run it in practise, now THAT was COOL! i screamed the lights out!! got me a vodka and drank on my performance and then gave my GF a good ... (oops thats another story :p )

1. Yes
2. 4 (9 ball)
3. Prefer at least $40, but will settle for less if bored
4. Got paid $2,900 (let him off the last game for $500)
5. Winning One Pocket, and Shots Moves & Strategies both helped a lot (many other books were no help at all)
6. Gambling helps me to play better under pressure, but can hurt my concentration for the rare times when there is nothing much on the line.

8. Playing one hole, I need 5 balls and my opponent needs one in a hill hill race to 3 for $500. I shot three god shots and two easy shots to run out.
9. My first break and run (8-ball) was nothing memorable, but my most memorable break and run was the first time I broke and ran a one pocket game (it's only happened twice). I was getting a spot (10-8) and losing bad. I decided to try the 8-ball break as a last ditch hail mary, and ended up making a ball and running out. It gave me the confidence to come back 6 games to get even.

2. Ran a 6 pack of 9 ball in league 11 years ago. 3 racks in practice 8 ball.

5. Yes. If you stop learning, you stop improving.
6. I think it helps your mental discipline but I'm not sure if that translates to my game.
7. No but finished second twice.
8. Breaking and running a rack against Earl Strickland who then B&R 6 in a row like it was nothing. Nice lesson in racking.

3. Yes. My money=cheap(I got 4 kids), Backer's money=whatever they want.
4. I would say it was about $1500, but I only got half.;)
5. Yes read books. Take what I need from each.
6. Well, it has helped me, but to each his own.
7. Yes many times(split last night), couple regionals(usually just cash not win).
8. Way too many to list, but I guess it would be the time I needed $250 for rent, eviction notice on the door. I went to the pool hall and walked out with $200,borrowed the other $50 and saved my apartment.:D
9. Uh, I was like 13 and that would have been 20 years ago, I think my opponent was my cousin.

7. I've only won handicapped tournaments
8. Playing 9-ball, Hill-Hill in front of a large audience at a pro-am regional tournament (ok, there were about 30 people, but they were all standing within a few feet of the table). I got bad position on the 8-ball and the cue ball landed right on the rail. I had to draw the cue ball, so needed to elevate at 45 deg, and shoot "through the rail", I split the pocket with the 8, drew off two rails and it rolled to within 6 inches of the nine, dead straight into the corner pocket. It got me into the money in that tournament, and I still remember many people acknowledging that shot.
9. The Breaks-and-run that I remember best are the two that I did in hill-hill situations at our local Orange-Ball Wednesday tournaments. I feel very good about those, particularly since most of the time I tend to choke in those situations. If only I could figure out how to get that confidence all the time!

6. Gambling helps me. I don't care about the game unless a lot of cash is on the line. Nothing else motivates me, including tournaments.
7. Yes. Local weekly tournaments. Nothing bigger.
8. I was losing a set of backpocket 8-2 on a race to 9. I came back. On the last game, my opponent tried to shark me by screaming at the top of his lungs. I made the ball. Then on the next shot he threw the chair he was sitting on across the room. I made the shot and won the set. Then he went outside and broke his $2000 cue into a bunch of pieces. It was only a $200 set, but it was worth a lot more because we were constantly battling and I really got the best of him that night.

1. Yes.
2. 3 in 8 ball, maybe 4 in 9 (counting snaps).
3. Low to middling ($10-20 1P); once in a while more.
4. ~$1300 "won", but less in my pocket. I lost the first set (for $300) and had to take a backer. Then I busted the guy.
5. Lots. Byrnes, Fels, Dr. Dave, 99 Shots (Martin?), stand out as pretty good ones.
6. Helped.
7. Only handicapped. Local weeklies, and I won the Chris's Sunday tournament a few times.
8. Probably back when I was a 5 in the APA, playing in the Vegas qualifier tournament. I got down 4-0 vs. a 6, the other team is celebrating, my team is dejected. Then I won the next 4 games, tying the match up 2-2. Then my 6 won, then we won the next round, sending the team to Vegas for the first time (as a pool team).

8. When I get a new cue...lol.
9. It's not my first but my favorite BNR is when I was approached by Danny Harriman to play some cheap sets and I broke and ran the first rack of the first set. It felt damn good and helped me have the confidence to be at least somewhat competitive.
