FYI: ABC News "Nightline" will be broadcasting a segment on Danny Basovich tonight.

'Kid Delicious'

Traveling across the country, pool hustler Danny Basovich made hundreds of thousands of dollars playing the game. As word of his skill with the pool cue spread, however, the 29-year-old New Jersey native's hustling days were over. Could this pool king -- dubbed "Kid Delicious" by opponents -- make it on the international professional circuit? ABC's Bill Weir reports from Brooklyn, New York.

I always like to see what network tv has to say about the sport. I hope he lets out his stroke for the camera. ( It'll make it easier to handicap for those side bets.)

I receive daily emails on what Nightline will be broadcasting so I'm pretty sure it's tonight.

If Nightline provides a transcript and/or video clip of the segment, I'll include that in this thread tomorrow.
 
As much as I'd like to watch it as it's being broadcast, I'll wait and see if someone puts it on YouTube...lol. Good to see Danny getting some more press. I talked to Bristol Bob back in late November, and he said that Danny was doing well and recovering well from his medical ordeal. I think I just saw recently that he played in an event. Hopefully it keeps up...love to see Danny do well.

hope Jack Black does get tabbed to play Kid Delicious. They're definitely right in that we're long overdue for the next great pool movie!

Good segment, its good to see Danny doing well. Hopefully they do a better job on his movie than PHJ....

It was pretty interesting to read the book and then meet Delicious. He was exactly as i pictured him. An extremely nice guy. He gave me a lesson in January and calls me after few weeks or so to see how im doing and how my game is coming along. His father, "Daddy Delicious" is also a nice guy and is also exactly as i pictured him from the book. He also has a few new BIG things in the works that could be BIG for him and pool.
 
I couldn't believe he mentioned being in Warsaw Indiana in the you tube video, it's about thirty miles west of here..that's too cool...

Watched the piece on KD. Very nice to see on major network. The Kid did very well. Congrats to the KID!
