Okay who oredered a Balance Rite Extension in the past few days

I thought I hadn't seen any balance rite ext. on Earl/Shane cues. Big difference on where your adding the extension.
I had an ext. made like the balance rite for my older cue years ago and couldn't use it. Just didn't feel right. I watched Mika miscue several times and missed shots he shouldn't have missed in the Varner tourney. It wasn't the Mika of old. I was fully expecting him to take it off.
Could it be the extension?
I now have a 8" butt extension for my predator and it feels great nothing like the middle extension. Didn't miss a beat. I did remove all the weights in my ikon cue.
Just my opinion.

I don't think he had time to take it off since he was busy counting the money he won for winning the tournament.

But.....he WON the tournament!!!!!

Maybe, just maybe....the extension helped him do that)

Which do you think is easier? Attaching an extension or having a whole cue made?

Having a whole cue made. All day long.

Why not get taller?

On that note, actually, it leads to a very good question...

Those pesky philopinos have been short for ages!

Years even!

They have never seemed to need anything - why do people suddenly need this?

That equates to about a $750 cue....so really, that's about par.

But damn.....that $750 cue would have a LOT of joints !!!

What are you saying about $5,000 customs Johnny??? ;)

Yes, people DO get rich by selling their products...remember that the next time you pay for a $40 meal at a restaurant that probably cost them about $10 to make....or $30,000 for that car that cost about $8,000 to build...or $500 for that television that cost about $150 to manufacture These would be several out of a gazillion examples that I could refer to as an example of people getting rich off of their products.

Hell...I was in a linen store with my wife last weekend and saw a 5'x3'x4" piece of foam rubber that sold for $47 (yes, that's forty-seven dollars ). Who do you think is getting rich off of that $1.50 piece of foam???

Maniac (if you build it...they will come)

Yes, you're right. Nothing wrong with it.

If you buy all the parts for a new 30k car and it would probably cost you 60k.

A good friend of mine was management in a top brand perfume company in NY and she told me that $50 4 OZ. bottle of perfume cost less than $2 to make, the rest is packaging, advertisement, and hiring models and movie stars to push it. Johnnyt

It's not only that you rarely need the bridge, it also lets you stay in your regular stance more, instead of needing to be a pretzel to try and sight right and hit the CB right. Johnnyt

I had Diveney make me a 61" Ebony Hustler and I'm thinking about having him make a 9" extension that will screw into the butt thru the bumper with a quick release joint. Years ago I had Meucci make me a 62" Sneaky. I'm 6"3" and have long arms. a longer cue feels better to me. I envy shooters who are under 6' as the table height is better for them. So what are my chances of getting the table height regulation raised by 6". LOL

Walls too close to the side of my table for me to use one. I have a Hager which I use sometimes.

In my opinion, this is the #1 advantage of using an extension. The more your body gets out of alignment for the shot, the more apt you are to make a mistake.

And also, I HATE THE RAKE!!!

Aloha.

Does this extension go between the shaft and the Butt or does it go at the back end Butt Plate?

If it goes between the shaft and Butt wouldn't it be illegal to break down your shaft during a match to fit this on for 1 shot then remove it? I recall this being in some of the rule books in the past.

The extensions between the shaft and the butt like the Balance Rite aren't designed to take on and off during a match. They're designed to be played with full time.

I showed mine to Mika at SBE... he (and others) immediately saw the benefits and wanted mine on the shot. I also showed some people at Varners tourny and the possible uses across different joint combination when changing out the insert end. You can use a high quality tape (like a backed hula hoop- Black Silver or Gold Metallic tapes are the best) to give them a different appearance as needed. I Shoot 100% of the time with them on to 'adapt' my Mezz WX900 (United joint...5/16 14) to any other pin style on the market.

Love these things.

Maybe just didn't understand your post, but you touched on something I was curious about. How do you modify it to fit different pin styles? For example my Pechauer pin.

Additionally to my two Balance Rites, I also have a 4" Schuler Extension for my Schulers.

Schuler has made middle section extensions for a long time.

Freddie <~~~ no magic pills

Ted Harris cue with 6" and 10" extensions - I have a 10'er at home. Will try them in a few days when I get home.
I could care less about the color or how it looks, all I want is something that works

Well ... Atlas (or some one) will sell you the correct insert (female) for your desired joint thread right?... If you can't remove and glue in the new insert you then can pay to have it done by a cue repair person. This is an additional cost ranging from $20 to $40 in addition to the base cost of the Balance Rite extension. Most of the Extensions cost about $30 except for the Uni-Loc which costs about $48.

I personally have 4 different Joint styles in my system of butt selection (5/16 14 ie my schons etc, 5/16 18 ie like in my OL1's Meucci etc, 3/8 10, 3/8 11 like in my southwest cues and Unilock like in my Predator Throne Cues as well as others). So in total for what a LD shaft costs ...I have built an extension 'system' for my 2 favorite shaft/tip combinations that fits all of my butts.

No more buying unnecessary expensive shafts. Just sell me a butt. Even my Budweiser Cues play just as good as my customs. Fun fun :)

I'm confused....

Does my cue play bad so I need this extension?

Should I talk to my cue maker about building a better/longer cue?

Did I not know that I really prefer a forward balanced cue?

I usually call things like this NCS or new cue syndrome. When you suddenly think a bit and all is better.

What makes this so much better??
