Would it be a fair matchup for a solid A player to offer up the Orange Crush, ie Wild 5ball to a solid B player. Race to 7, bar box 9ball, alternate breaks. Just curious what people think the results might be. Who would be favored in this matchup.

I would be backing the player getting weight.

Sorry I didn't see it last week. I only make it on from time to time. The offer came up in conversation last night. I thought it was fair given our history...hint (I'm the B player).....Thanks for the reply
I believe the "orange crush" is usually the wild 5 and the breaks. No alternating break, and not the 5 out either.
So is the consensus that the orange crush is more than the called 7+8 on a barbox?
In my mind I can give the orange crush alot easier than the 7+8 called. They win alot of early games with combos. If I'm worried about the 5 ball as their only money ball, then it would seem simpler. Though alot easier for them to get to earlier in the rack.
Most B players can't break and run to the 5 even 1/2 the time. Let them make 3 and give up the table, I'd get the 5 and then some from there. I'll have to offer this and see.
I think called 7+8 is more and I give that up routinely. Then it's just a question of how well I am running out, if I do I win.
