Ginacue: Master of Marketing
Agree. He's certainly not known for making great playing cues and is not in the same league as Gus Szamboti when it comes to playability. He makes cues that people put in trophy cases and the majority rarely hit a ball. The Ginas that I've owned had a slightly dead hit.
It's obvious from the 90-minute infomercial that he is very relaxed on camera and probably didn't know the camera setup had his crotch center frame.
This video should be very good for his sales.
HollyWood said:Great idea other than just matches. too bad he didn't show us how he made a few things. He did devluge a few secrets- the thought of forward balance cues, ebony fronts, the white and brown shafts, snakewood characterists. didn't like his comments on the players cues he so seldom makes. He could learn from Danny Janes and be less like Bill Stroud. Why is it all about the cash. I'd like to hear Paul Motteys side,Bill Schick's, and Richard blacks side. I would like to see Tad Kohara's shop, I think more famous for making players cues. Tad tips. Doesn't Andy Gilbert have a rep for players cues. Ernies own words 1 pro player- now thats a mouthfull. There are no secrets in cuemaking in this day and age. Thanks thanks and thanks a very nice custom shop. But like he said he's lazy and wants the machine to do all the work- I couldn't believe he compared himself to George B or Gus Szamboti- players cues. I couldn't help but laugh at how many times he wanted to scratch his nuts. did you guys catch all gunsmith tooling. mark
