QueenB: Rematch at Q-Master

This has been an interesting and sometimes fun thread to read.

When I was a mere pup...still with milk teeth, my daddy told me to never get involved in a cat fight.

I've ignored my dad's advice in the past, often finishing with bad results.

This time, I'm going to follow my dad's advice! :)

Very good advive. Your Dad is smart. Johnnyt

She just missed a straight-in 2-ball that she only needed to stop for a 3-9 hanger combo. I'm guessing Karen bagels her now. Tough draw to play KC on the stream for her very first WPBA outing.

6 ZIP.

And on a separate note - whoever is commentating with Jennifer Barretta is slightly irritating me. She interrupts, talks over the 2 other commentators, and makes some comments that make me believe she isn't very experienced. For her to say that Karen would start playing around and testing the rails because she has a 5-0 lead is ridiculous. Karen doesn't need to test the table, and Karen definitely doesn't lessen up just because she is in the lead. And she keeps arguing with Jennifer when Jennifer is dead right. Who is she?

Queen B ran down to the 8 and got out of line on the 9...down 7 zip.

She sank the 8 and had to come down table for the 9 and scratched...down 8 zip.

She made a rail to rail cut...down 8 to 1

Maybe this Saturday Night Live skit parodying the commentators isn't that far off from reality.

It was not an ignorant thing to say. I happen to be familiar with the speed of these players. I'm not knocking them at all - just stating the truth.

Don't worry about it, I am sure you received a lot of green for that statement because it is true. Some posters on here apparently are trying to get promoted to babysitter, and they are easy to find. They are the first to accuse someone of having a flame account, the first to tell someone to use the search button when a thread is created about a question that has been asked before, and the first to report posts that hurt their little feelings.

I actually have started to feel bad for Queen B. At first she just seemed like one of Charlie Williams' pretty but useless female faces of pool. But it appears she is trying to up her game, and although she doesn't seem to be doing well against Karen, I doubt she would have made it this far at the level she was playing when she first came on the scene. And I wouldn't have taken OMGWTF's initial challenge really well either, as it didn't read like a challenge but a set of orders. "We will play this, we will do that, etc".

Oh well, on with the drama.....

C'mon ladies!

I work nights and enjoy reading the drama! Makes my night go by faster!

I'm not a gambler. I don't really play pool anymore. But I do think if the ladies play, Borana should be willing to accomodate OMGWTF in Virginia on neutral ground for at least $2000. I think she should give OMG a chance to win her $ back.

People say that she accomodated OMG by playing on the west coast, but Borana WAS there to play the BCA tournament and didn't have additional expenses like OMG would have if she went to NY.

If they play in NY, on Borana's own territory, I think they should play for the $4000 considering all of OMG's expenses.

This is just my opinion. Good luck to both ladies if they do play.

This whole thread is amazing to me. God bless both these gals but the first match-up was not exactly the match of the century. For lack of better words, it was a snoozer. And I think both these ladies would agree. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a waste of bandwidth, but it was close.

Unless they play a whole helluva lot better next time, it just wouldn't be worth watching. Unless you just like sweating money games or watching two nice looking ladies play pool. I know there are some people that will sweat any money game, even between two non players. I'm not one of them. I actually did an hour or so of commentary on the first match, and got to watch three or four games. That was more than enough for me.

A Race to Twenty One should take four to five hours between competent players. Nine hours was ridiculous. You couldn't pay me to watch the tape of that first match. I love you both but if you play again, PICK UP THE PACE! I guarantee you, you will play better too. The slow play got you both out of stroke.

There was a SoCal Womens Tourney at the Hardtimes a couple of weeks ago with the streaming on Table 6 with said 3.8" wide pockets. There were no run outs and each match took very long - as expected.

Sweaters logged on and chatted with the matches there being as a backdrop to the chit chat - some folks had fun. What are the expectations - perfection?

Perhaps the next match should be played on a bar table with 5.0" wide pockets to speed up the action?

It's their money and some may log on to chit chat, bet from the rail or just sweat.

It's all good for pool here on AZB.
:)
