You're got cliques here that will blow certain cuemakers / cue assemblers; cliques that will defend each other regardless of how stupid they may sound; and cliques that will do just about anything their friends do.
Its become a little retarded around here lately. I remember several years ago when I signed up. It was fun. There were good posters. There was a lot of information here.
The moral of the story is, rep doesn't mean sh!t in a place where most of the people issuing it have little or no clue what they are talking about.
Now people wonder why I'm an ass all the time. Well, take a look around!!!!!!

I always get that message "you must spread rep around before giving it to this poster again." (most of the time, I don't even remember the last time I repped that person) Isn't that feature supposed to stop the "clique" thing from having an effect on rep points? Number of posts and points are one indication of the quality of a person's posts and Terry Ardano is out front a mile there, well deservedly. Aside from solid posts, he is probably the nicest guy on the forum. However I wish we could see the number of times someone has received rep points too. JAM, BlackJack and some others built their rep from many tiny contributions. Now even those of us well down the list can light up two or three squares for the people just getting started.
I would say that Rep is out of control but it is harmless fun and a quick and easy way to give someone an "attaboy" when they say or do something good. Even grouches seem to like it. You would think Roscoe would be screaming and complaining because this thread has moved him up at least six or eight places and onto the front page of rep but he seems to be tolerating that pretty well!
Always funny when folks that say rep is silly get a red rep too. They are usually badly out of joint about it especially if they are still building greenies and it costs them a few.

Thanks, Neil... sounds like a pretty good system to me. I don't think it's anywhere near as flawed as people have described so far. Oh well, either way... hahaha, rep isn't afraid to go to moustache parties and get super crazy and it thinks that Liza Minelli is just a "strong woman". Rep also loves watching Suddenly Susan re-runs with it's life partner whilst curled up in a down comforter
I bet that there are a few that would rather be on the front page of "rep" than beating Johnny Archer. I give out rep if it's very amusing or informative. Thanks to all that have given. Now, can I trade the rep in for cash to gamble with. Who do I call? Huh? Who?
