Requested pics of "WheatCues"

Why now?

Whether it is right or wrong people will always judge a person by the friends he associates with. Mr Wheat was banned for multiple reasons which many here were a part of and are more than ready to remind other NEW members of. To bring up this thread is inappropriate on many levels JMO....

IMOP its a good thing to bring up the thread, so that others can know what went on and hopefully they will be careful so it wont happen to them. People need to be on their toes and not get bit by the viper.

So he works for you and goes to the tour stops for repair work etc. if he has time for this where is Double-Dave's work that he paid Wheat several $100 and sent 2 shafts 2 yrs ago??? You brought the subject up guy.

I remember when Eddie was getting into this conversation over the 'Sharpie'; I can not comment on that. What I can tell you that I have not noticed him using one of them. I have been in his shop many times and I have seen him build the Ring Billets by hand. What I saw were real billets not 'sharpied wood'. Just my .02

This wasn't supposed to turn into a discussion or end up in a nasty downward spiral becasue something nice was said about him, I do know he stays busy building cues becasue we bring his lathe to the tour stops as well as mine so I see partially completed cues and several repair jobs everytime I go get him and help load up his equipment for the events, but that is as far as my envolvement goes with HIS business.

I do not wish to get in the middle of his customer affairs becasue it's none of my business, please do not direct any of the problems you are having with him to me, I simply gave him a compliment on his talent and are not condoning his past behaivor on AZB period.

If you did not want to get in the middle of this why did you post?

He has taken advantage of forum members and he owes either refunds or cues that were paid for, do you think that any one cares if he is good or bad at this point?

If you want to be a member of this forum, then help people get what is owed to them, if that is not your intention please go away.:angry:

The next time you load his equipment drop the crap, then you will have done something worth listening too.

If I were you I would be very careful even being around Mr. Wheat, there are a lot of angry people who would love to find him, and if you are with him when the shit hits the fan you may get caught in the cross fire.

Sorry if I offended you, but the guy has allot balls, what purpose did his comments serve, other than to help Mr. Wheat. Since he is a forum member, and as you say a legit business person, and since he has opened up this can of worms, why not make something positive happen. Not once in any of his posts did he say he would try to help those who have been screwed, the only thing he did do is praise Eddies work, and why would he do that? Oh I can answer that, to help correct Eddies reputation and to put Eddie in a different light. My question is does he deserve that, the answer in my opinion is hell no, and I also wonder what this guy has to gain, maybe to sell some of Eddies cues here, I don't know, but what ever his purpose is it was not well thought out before he started this crap.

If he wants to be a forum member in good standing, he should try and help some of the members who have gotten screwed, outside of that nothing he has to say is important or worth hearing in my opinion.

No disrespect intended to you, but these kind of posts are damaging and they can lead to others falling into the Wheat Trap!!!
 
I don't often agree with Manwon's aggressive nature of posting, but I find myself in complete agreement with him here. There was no purpose to this gentleman's post other than to improve Wheat's image. When Wheat hasn't even made his mistakes right, the post is in very bad taste, and has the potential to go nowhere but bad. To make this post, and then say he does not want to get in the middle of the trouble is an oxymoron. He should simply state poor judgement for his post and let it go away.

Eddie got banned for taking money for cue that he never delivered. He earn his being Banned, no one did it to Eddie but Eddie IMHO!

But I think Eddie should be unbanned, and allowed to come on here to have the opportunity to state whether he has/is correcting past mistakes.

I don't think he would have been in business for 18 years prior if he had constantly made mistakes like it seems he has in the last 2.

And I feel that everyone deserves a second chance to right themselves.

Multiple people are posting that he still hasn't made fairly minor deals right. I'm a bit skeptical about eighteen years in business too. Eddie isn't that old and I seem to recall some time in the slammer. I've been working on cues forty years, not counting a thirty year break! Of course putting on a tip or shaping it is working on a cue, so is everything except building a cue from scratch.

Letting him come back means he will be conducting new business here, just the way things work. Seems to me he should finish up old business before committing to new projects for new victims.

Not sure of the motives here but Wheat has not made good on his business practices.looks to me that he is trying to earn his way back on AZ.
There are so many reputable cue makers out there we dont need this one in our midst.
I hope the whole thread is taken down because a lot of the newer forum members wont get past page 2 and start ordering cues from this guy.:nono:
 
Chipperd , As an outside opinion since I had no dealings with EW if you really want to help your buisness you should try to have him make all the deals he made right...I have only been a member for about a year but I have noticed how tight a lot of the members are..you help them and they will see you are legit and buisness will come your way...To be honest at this point in time I would not do buisness with you because of the company you keep..not that you have done anything wrong but that you "MAY" be able to help some of the members..I have seen , in the last year , a number of members who have went way out of their way to help other members...I really hope everything works out for you and the members who were wronged...
