Rip-off is official..beware Yuri_b17 and Tim_hong

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - those of you that have NOT YET been hit with the chargebacks on your transactions with this guy PLEASE take the time to report it to PayPal - contact each other and use the Transaction Reference #s from each other's transactions to show PayPal the pattern here.

If you act as a group with PayPal on this then you can have some effect. I don't want to sound like a shill for PayPal - I read the PayPal Sucks website years ago.

But this issue right now is something that us at AZ can try and do something about. Only those of you that are currently transacting though can really deal with PP on this and IF you do it as a group there is a chance to retain your money.

So please get together, compare notes, and send nearly identical emails to PayPal to show them that it's not on an individual level that you are dealing with this.

Maybe PayPal really won't do jack about it. On the other hand if you don't try then for sure the asshole will get your money and your cue/case.

sorry to hear about this Joe,but i am glad to see everyone come together to fix it.also to all guys who dealt with him and are awaiting impending chargebacks, empty the account.

i always keep mine empty anyway b/c i am always concrened with chargebacks.i will say that i have sent severeal cues overseas with zero problems.

i also have Yuri_b17 on my waiting list and am scratching his name off as i type.i guess that moves someone up a batch.

Kam,that's awesome that you are pursuing it over there.

looks like screwing someone over cost him sooner than he thought

I'm really sorry to hear about this, Joe, because you're a good guy, and also (selfishly) because it puts buyers in Asia in a negative light.

I hope this guy burns.

Although, you should edit your post Michael.
Maybe change it to "Potential Victims".

The way it is does make it sound bad.

As soon as I saw your quote of Marcus, I realize that my post could be misleading. I immediately edited it.

I hate thieves...

I have not commented on this issue as I was busy asking around/investigating (in HK) in regards to the issues with (Bamacues' Meucci HOF-3 and patrickjuhlin's Jacoby D-1). These 2 cues were bought by Tim_Hong and were paid with Paypal and are now charged back.

First off, when I saw/read the thread by Bamacues (Joe), I immediately PM'ed Joe and have told him that I will do my best to help him. I did this as I have seen the HOF-3 posted on another site. It was posted by username Yuri_b17.

On Bamacues' thread, there was a link to patrickjuhlin's thread, whom also got a charge back. I haven't seen that Jacoby posted anywhere. My apologies to patrickjuhlin for not PM?ing him, but it doesn't mean I have forgotten your case.

From the other site, on the same day the HOF-3 was posted, 2 other cues, a Carolina Cues and an Albrecht Cues was posted. I have PM'ed Dave Albrecht to ask him if was affected and he confirmed that it has not happened to him. He has not been charged back so far of the 2 cues that he had sold to Yuri_b17 (Was it Yuri_b17 or was it Tim_Hong?). As for the Carolina Cue (Zircote front and back with Padauk handle), I think iowa_player (Larry) was the one who sold the cue to Yuri_b17/Tim_Hong on this thread. Larry, can you confirm who it was please?

Let it be known that I know the guy Yuri Bayanin (Yuri_b17), but not Tim_Hong. Is Tim_Hong and Yuri_b17 the same guy, I don't know. From Yuri's email to Bamacues, Yuri said he knows Tim_Hong and knows this issue. Did Patrickjuhlin get the same email? Can you also post it here Patrick?

I don't know if the moderators can see if both logins (Tim_Hong and Yuri_b17) have been accessed from the same IP Address at almost the same time and/or right after each other.

Yuri is an acquaintance and I have played with him last Friday nite (9/12). He had the Carolina and Albrecht cue with him and have played with both these cues. I have SMS'ed Yuri to give me a call to discuss this issue and
I am still awaiting his reply/call.

So far, we have Bamacues and patrickjuhlin who were charged back from another persons' Paypal Account/Credit Card. Anyone else who has the same issue? Please post here ASAP and if possible, PM me.

PS: kamdaswani (Kam), troyroy78 (Roy) and myself has an interest in getting this thing resolved as it gives us, honest people from HK and AZB regulars the bad name and/or label due to this issue.

PSS: I will not discuss specifics of what moves we have done as I don?t want the perpetuators to anticipate our moves.

According to his mail to Bama this is done by someone known to yuri. How come yuri is posting the cue on other websites wef 09/12/08.

I think he knows everything and needs to apologise to all who are affected and return their goods or money otherwise he is big trouble.I mean very big trouble.

Wow. Wow.

It is obvious what's up. What is the Address that the cues were sent to???

They are all the same PERSON!

I mean, you're telling me, there's a person, that random person hacks into someones AZB accounts, negotiates deals,...hacks into a Paypal Account, makes all these deals and transactions and then uses "the stop" payments. Who also lives in Hong Kong..as with Tim_Hong?

Come on! He knows which cues he wanted. The person doing this knows CUES and knows this FORUM WELL!

This Is The Same Guy That Order A Wrapless Player From Me And This Cue Is Ready To Ship But It Ain't Going To Hong Kong Now.

Freind

We have already talked in private so I see no sence in saying anything except I'm very sorry. If there is anything I can do you know I will

The fact that Yuri has the cues in his possession says it all.
If his account truly was hacked then he could certainly return all the cues that are magically showing up at his house.

Many thanks to all of the folks out there who have taken an interest in this case. There are many very sharp minds and observant people involving themselves at all levels. I want to personally thank each and every one of you for taking the time and effort to try to make a difference.
Joe

Hay Joe

Alwayy accept Western Union as payment from non U.S. parties. They have to buy them with cash. There is no way for a charge back. It only cost them 10%. You can always offer to pay half.
After the money orders are deposited and cleared to your account ship.
Paypal never!
Good Luck Mr Joe,
Nick :)

It's official. I'm no longer using PayPal as a buyer or seller...and I'm not doing international business. I just refuse. I'm sorry if that limits my ability to move around a little bit...but it has to be. I refuse to be a part of this. I'm so sorry this happened to you Joe. You're a stand up guy. I'm only accepting money orders from now on...and I'll ship when they cash. If someone internationally wants to do business with me...I'm going to require an escrow service be used at the very least. I'm still leaning towards not doing it at all. I apologize in advance for all the wonderful people out there that live abroad.

You can still do international business...Just protect yourself... Require international payments be made via Western Union. Get your cash up front and then ship your cue. You can not get burned this way.

The system is working

This is the third or fourth member that was alerted in time to stop their transactions with this person.
He is a busy guy

I do feel bad however for the other members living overseas, that feel like this could be a reflection on doing business outside of the US.
I have completed two overseas deals, one in London, and one in Singapore, and they couldn't have been better.
In fact both times I received the item much faster, and in better condition than expected.

Just my observation, and I am especially glad that Leon wasn't victimized a second time.
Remember barkcinnamon, or whatever his name was that week

It is obvious he planned to take as many as possible, which should alert everyone here that we will most likely be under further assualt from him or his cohorts.
