If someone fails to make an opponent post and he doesnt get paid-That in no way means "he got what he deserved". If he got "what he deserved" then it logically follows that the opponent did the right thing. Should you never pay when the money isnt posted. It seems so.
In fact, if you make a bet, fail to post and then lose, you should not pay ever!!Afterall, you wanna do the right thing and make sure the opponent gets what he deserves.
IM a bit slow but I think im finally catching on to some of these more esoteric areas of gambling..

I have known shawn for a few years, and in that short time I can honestly say that if he told me to come play but he couldnt pay that day, I would let him play on credit for any amount!!! Just to say that in my book if Shawn says thats the way that it happened then thats the way its happened. His word and reputation are first class. I know Shawn in some sense was probably like me and wanting to keep his reputation by not quitting winner, and that not being easy having a family, and not being at home much anyway and playing for that long. He is one of few pool room owners that if I made a game with him I wouldnt have to worry about driving a ways and him changing it. He would do what ever he would say he would do. Not saying that I might have to play like burning hell to win though. Just thought I would put my 2 cents in the conversation..
I do not condone stiffing or air barreling as the legendary scooter says, but times are hard right now with gas prices so if theres anyone out there who wants to lose around 17 games of one pocket to me and stiff me for a lil please let me know. I could use the dough.....:smile:

The same people on here saying what RW did was ok sure had a problem when they got stiffed by Kevein Trudeau. Being stiffed is being stiffed in my opinion. I agree with Ribdoner and would want another dime just to cover my aggravation. What gets me is Shawn loses $5000 to the same guy and pays. The guy comes back to play and doesnt expect to pay if he loses. Very sad indeed. Good luck Shawn and I hope you get paid.
He is now telling me that he doesnt owe a penny. He said Scott owes the $3400 and Justin a guy who was there for a week owes him $500 and i could collect that from him. This guy has really lost his mind. If he would have just said i need a few weeks to come up with it, I would have never said a word. But this guy is saying he doesnt owe a penny. Funny after he tried running his debit card for the full amount and got all my personal info so he could wire transfer the money that following monday. Now he doesnt owe a penny. What a move.

A place where they could triple or quadruple their own bank rolls. A place where they could get all the rail action they could stand. A place where the owner was not the only person they could win serious cash playing. A place where the owner would shake their hand and say, tell-um where you got it, on their way out the door.
Shawn's Green Room in Hattiesburg is such a pool room. Ronnie and Scott knew they were in such a place when they got there. Ronnie had previously booked large winners in the place and been paid every dime of the money he had won. No light game or games. Ronnie knew he could come back and get the same quality action and he did.
This time maybe Ronnie wasn't in dead stroke or maybe Shawn was but instead of showing Shawn the same class and respect he was shown, Ronnie, saw a chance to play a class guy for a sucker and did.
Ronnie, obviously owes Shawn the entire sum. How Ronnie was cutting money does not enter into the equation. Shawn deserves to be treated the same way he treats other players.
