Still looking for full splice blanks with veneers. i prefer cocobola, ebony, and purpleheat. no rosewood. I prefer not to order from prather or atlas, I rather put the money in a custom builder's pocket.

My Davis cue will be here next month (fingers crossed). I can't tell you how anxious I am to get it. :p

www.customcuesandtips.com will have full splice blanks with exotic veneers by end of September with based wood in Ebony, Purpleheart and Cocobola and possibly amboyna burl...(depending on our test). We are building true original full splice and not double splice blanks.

Regards,
Duc.

still looking ... head spinning

Davis blanks are nice but expensive to start with. I'm looking to build a wrap-less full splice. I want something simular to cuemaster's blanks but in ebony, purple heart or cocabola.

If you want a custom, John will build you a full handle blank with whatever woods and veneers you want.

There comes a time to reach into your pocket while the opportunity is there. The money is well worth it. You will pay a little more, but your finished cue will be worth a lot more. When the cue is done and 10 years from now, you won't remember the extra few hundred you spent, but you will remember it was a custom John Davis blank built just for you. The finished cues I've seen so far using his blanks have looked fantastic.

John's blanks are under-priced and under-rated.My friend has ordered blank after blank and continues to do so without reservation.

Last I checked, Prather was a custom cuemaker and a very well respected one at that.

I agree with Rat.

Check this link.

I had them make the Blank for me and then sent it to james White to finish. There is a link in the first part of hte thread that shows closeup pictures of the unfinished blank. Pretty good looking stuff if you ask me.

I spoke to prather recently and they will build ebony one if you provide them with the piece of ebony. Turn around on my blank last year was 4-5 weeks.
