Stunning news: FREE IPT Challenge Match: Johnny Archer vs. Earl Strickland

These two never even reach the top finish in all the IPT tour. They should have chosen from either, Rodney, Reyes, Manalo or Hohmann.

JOHNNY made it to the last 6 in the 2005 IPT King of the Hill, IIRC, ultimately won by EFREN.

Trudeau is well documented steaming pile of dog s*&t. This event is a sham. Archer and Strickland look like clowns even considering doing this. Alot of good players lost there arse on the IPT. The IPT is a stain on the front page of this site. Please clean it up.

I look forward to watching the match, but at the same time I don't trust KT. This free match almost feels like the bait on the hook. I'm rooting for pool players to make financial gains, I really hope they do, but KT has to earn my trust. Time will tell.

you guys are ridiculous im watching this watch and im so happy that we have something big like this for free. i hate KT by the way go buy one of his books it'll do you good lol

Well in my opinion every IPT player that is owed money should be paid BEFORE any other IPT events...i agree with another poster why not have 2 of the top from the last field....let's get these players paid first..before Christmass would be great...Thanks:)

Strickland a huge draw???

i think a big reason why they chose them is that they could draw a big crowd not that the players you've mentioned won't( who wouldn't want to watch reyes? ) but Strickland alone would draw huge ratings, which is what i think they're trying to aim for. ;)

Strickland was not a huge draw at the Qlympics playing Shane VanBoening, what makes you think him playing here would be a huge draw in this match. Just curious.

I made my comments in the IPT section. You can find them there.

Sorry, I had posted on the thread entitled "Stop eating and read this". It was the first one posted about this "match".

I hope Archer and Strickland make them post the money on the lights....

This entire idea at this point in time is rucking fetarded. In order to acquire sponsors, you better have in the hundreds of thousands of hits to a site. There's noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo way they'll get over 1-2k viewers - let alone six figures, even at no charge.

For them to do this w/out players being paid first is a travesty....simply put. 70% paid over a year later? Sickening.

There's gonna be a limited tour in 2008 with money in escrow and this and that and this and.... BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHA

MUAAAAAMUAAAAAAAAMUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!

*catching my breath*

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAhAHAHHAHA
HUAHUAHUAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHUUUUUUUUUUUAAAHHAHAHHAHAHA

*GASPING FOR AIR*

BAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA *cough* *cough* HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!

A+

It's a >free< outlet to promote pool to a bigger level. If it helps even just 00.000001% , I am for it.

If you think different , well - you're wrong :D

Dont sign up to be a member of the IPT,thats what alot of its about,to view vids and watch the match they want you to sign up,if they get alot of people to sign up as members maybe they make money on advertising etc.,JMO. ;)

Here is why he is a big draw.
1st
He has a name well known in pool and quite a few non players know his name the same as they know Archer's name.
2nd
The price is right to draw out all of the nits who will not pay a few bucks to support a PPV.

I will support the I.P.T. 100%.BUT,the second they want money:mad: ......Not in this lifetime until they have paid every last cent to the players.I actually thought Johnny had more class than this......Earl I can understand,he has no CLASS.

And btw > 1-2k viewers?

If strickland/archer hit a really awesome shot - it get's posted on youtube, like Corey Deuel's crazy shot against Immonen , you get :
"YouTube.com Views: 14,432 ..."

Thats 15,000 people.

15,000 more people thinking about pool than were without that recorded clip.

The players have been paid 70-plus percent of total monies from Reno event. Yes, I know it is late, but it is still being paid. In fact, I heard it through the pool grapevine that another check is supposed to be going out by next week.

It is my understanding that the IPT may come forth with a smaller tournament platform for next year, with tournament monies held in escrow.

Personally, if I were Kevin Trudeau, I wouldn't want a damn thing more to do with pool. He has been trashed by a lot of non-IPT competitors. However, the majority of IPT competitors, believe it or not, still would like to see the IPT back in the saddle again.

I think the IPT website is EXCELLENT, for what it's worth. The player selection of Earl Strickland and Johnny Archer seems appropriate, both being awarded the Player of the Year as reported by the American pool media.

I look forward to seeing this match on December 19th, 2007.

For once I couldn't agree with you more, Jennie (on the IPT, Trudeau and the players involved.). It's amazing how so many people with no stake at all can stick their noses so high in the air, as if they are the height of morality and honor.

Ed - NOW can I be a Monkey?
