SVB vs. Alex P Final Day

Thats awesome of Shane ! He is def the best American player.

I would like to see him go toe to toe with Dennis Orcullo or Lee Van Corteza. Everyone I know says that no one will play Dennis in a money match in Philippines(thats strong) and that Lee Van is only one who can give him a hard time.

Can anyone from Europe stand up to Shane? Is shane the best non-asian alive now?

If I am not mistaken Shane beat both Dennis and Lee Van last time he was in the Phillippines. He is in no way shape or form afraid to play either of these guys.

Shane's backers have no fear if anyone on the planet earth wants to come to Las Vegas and try him some in a TAR match. The only person who can really beat Shane is Shane. Orcullo, Busty, Lee Van, any Chinese player, any Tawanese is gong to have to flat out bring it to beat Shane. Shane played "bad" and gave up a lot of racks by just flat out blowing easy outs. He played bad by having stretches where he was pissy and not focused.

Still though when he was playing "bad" (for his standard) he still managed to win enough to stay close and then when he started to focus and get the break going it was all over.

Can Orcullo and friends beat Shane in a race to 100?

Of course they can. But if Shane shows up with a positive attitude and his break wired then it's not a gimmee for any other human no matter who they are.

IF Shane ever learns how to kick a ball then the world can get the 8.

actuallly justin did say personal feelings aside abut the self promoting asssss hole, he did make good rails, and i will vouch from that, the tabel was great.

shanes breaks is unreal its sick to watch.

What's the angle Glen ? Dun't look 141* to me .
How would that angle play at 4.5" ?

Yes, pockets are set at 141 degree miter, with a 15 degree down angle. With the same pocket dememtions at 4 1/2" you'd have more slate shelf for a ball to set on, therefore have a few more balls still sitting in the jaws of the pocket if they were hit bad. There's more to making pockets play good/bad than just the angles.

Pocket dementions, Glen? Yes, those sure are some "crazy" pockets, sure to drive many to dementia!

Now, just in case anyone feels like the TAR table didn't have pockets that were as tight as some OTHER table mechanic makes them...LOL Artie B has a 9ft ProAm in Vegas that has 4" corner pockets on his rails...maybe TAR could borrow them if needed...LOL...so, we can all watch grown men cry...LMAO

Thanks to all the ones who gave information about the event. ... what was the final result?

uhhhh...back up a page or two and you can read it yourself, honest..you can.

No bet;).

Thanks to all for the great entertainment- players, producers, table engineers and AZB updaters.

I laughed, I cried, I LOVED IT!

Shane and Alex should play every month.

Your post makes it obvious that you've never played a high dollar gambling match or was bout to get in the money of a big tourney...Earl antics = no way but what you talking bout is kinda funny.

it just depends on the circumstances I reckon.

Has Efren done this....................?

Almost had it by 20 like I called.

No one can beat that kid in the long race any more. NO ONE.

I'm sure if you put up enough money, a player from somewhere in Asia would gladly show up in the Tar Pit.

Huge, huge Point Here - Shane is a Manufactured Player - Good for Him!!!

Well, my thought on this is that Shane is a perfect example of the Talent thread. In other words he didn't get this good because he is talented. He got this good because he TRAINED for it.

Certainly the more talented, the better. I've always thought of SVB as more manufactured or trained, then raw talent. And good for him; I'm like that myself.

And that's fine. The turtle always beats the rabbit.

If you want it, you can achieve it! Possibly not SVB-level, but your own level.

Has Efren done this....................?

Efren is the exception not the rule...All I am saying is when you competing at the highest level of any sport you will see flare ups...It's human nature...I've seen golfers break or throw their clubs..samr with tennis & their rackets..football players throw their helmets...MMA guys & boxers trash the locker rooms after a fight...taking it to extremes I don't agree with but tapping your tip to vent..long as it's not every time is understandable...Maybe Justin could hang a heavy bag near the table & see if anybody uses it to vent in these matches...lol

I'm pretty sure SVB won 40-17 over the last 57 games of the match. Let that set in. Try to process that.

I agree, but Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Irving Crane, Lassiter, Joe Balsis kept matters in order, appears that SVB was able to unravel the A.P. positive attitude with relentless packages towards the end. Having a great attitude is a powerful tool and may be the reason ALONE that Effie separated himself from the heard..............but abusing the equipment your opponent is also playing on seems a little different than intentionally breaking your club or slamming the club down into the grass away from your opponent, tho I could be wrong.

Cage fighting seems different than pool. Never did tho see a tennis pro attack the net and cause damage to the tape, the concrete, yes.

I love how Shane and Alex have played 2 races to 100 their 1 to 1 and people think Alex cant win. Lets play the rubber match. I have a feeling that if they play a 3rd time and even bet a little more you will see a more dedicated and focused Alex come to the table. As far as someone pointing out that Shane won 40 of the last 57 games and let that sink in...what happened the first time they played? same type of run in Alexs favor and his was more impressive because he was 22 down when he made his run. As Skip Bayless calls it people are prisoner of the moment. As far as Shane playing someone else, alot of people say they want to see Shane vs Orcullo. How about Shane vs the guy that beat Orcullo twice... Yang
