I regret to inform the billiard world that today we lost one of greatest cuemakers the world has ever known. Mr. Tad Kohara has passed away. There will never be another cuemaker with his style and execution. He was a great cuemaker and an even greater father, husband and person. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Sorry to hear the news. My condolences to his family and friends. I've always admired his cues, but yet to have the pleasure of shooting with one, much less owning one.

A sad news for Cuemaking industry, hes truly a master and great cuemaker. May he rest in peace and condolence to his family and friends.

So sorry to hear this. I'm glad I saw him one more time earlier this year. I've known Tad since the beginning on Washington Blvd. in L.A. in the 60's. I used to buy his plain maple cues for 60 and sell them for 75. Wish I had just kept them all instead. He was my friend first and a cue maker second. Tad, you were a great guy and an honest man. So rare these days to meet someone like you.

TAD is still in good hands with his son Fred making cues that are the equal if not better! Just like his dad a perfectionist! :thumbup2:

Sad news to hear....

Prayers and condolences to fred and the family. Billiards world will surely miss him.

p.s. I enjoy talking with Tad when I saw him person. Enjoy listening his stories.

R.I.P. "Tad"

What terrible, terrible news. My sincere condolences to the entire Kohara family. Fred, may you continue the Tad legacy with honor.

I too knew Tad from his beginning days on Washington Blvd. The last time I visited his shop he was on Stanton Ave. I got my last Tad cue from Rick at Best Billiards back when and am still using it today.

Tad, RIP.

My deepest sympathies to the Kohara family. Tad made a significant impact to the world of billiards. He will be missed.
