TAR Match Proposal

With a bunch of us trying out the TOI from CJ sure would be great to see him on the table against someone...

He can show up every once in a while, and that's about it. I wish I was wrong, because I do like watching him play, but putting Earl in the same arena as Shane is ludacris.

best,

Justin

And I agree. Earl can beat anyone on his day, even in a long race, but even putting him in an event of this type (regardless of the opponent), where the whole thing hinges on him not throwing in the towel as soon as the heat is on, is ludicrous from a promoter's perspective.

Keith Sigel push out rules I think would make an entertaining match. Should be both competitive skill wise and humor wise.

I'd go for this matchup as well. I don't care who actually plays, as long they are old school players who know how to play two-shot rollout the way it used to be played.

Keith vs anyone would be great....

I think someone mentioned it earlier, I too, would like to have old school players playing the old school game.

I love to watch Shane but I have seen him play tons on TAR and I am ready for someone else.

The ultimate would be Keith verses Matlock on a bar box...

Keith vs CJ.

Every time the ref rules CJ has not used a TOI on a shot Keith gets BIH ;-)

I agree, Earl was way out of line with the ear muffs and disrespecting Shane.

My vote would be for Keith vs anyone.

I know this might sound crazy but I think Mitch Ellerman would be a great player for tar. I know he is not a top name to most because he usually stays on the west coast but if you look at his resume its pretty darn impressive and consistent to say the least. He lives close to vegas to expenses would be minimal. I think it would be a great treat to the fans and a great opportunity for mitch.

Keith needs to play someone from hir era.

Best choices: Earl (Out-Nutbag factor), Mike Sigel (better dressed Earl), Kim Davenport or Buddy Hall would probably be my picks.

I was thinking Mike Sigel would be oustanding if he would actually do it. I would buy that match in a heartbeat, even on a crappy standard cut 4.5 inch pocket Diamond.

The one problem, I think it would be an absolute slaughter, Sigel is still a monster player from what I saw in his brief stint playing pool again a couple years back. I love Keith's game and style but his game has no held up like Sigel's has.

One killer match would be a all around 1-pocket, 8-ball, and 9-ball of Sigel vs Parica, they are only 3 years apart in age and both still play pretty killer pool and both were very good all around players.

CJ?

CJ brings nothing to the table at all. Most people don't know him, He can't beat almost all other names mentioned by other posters. He doesn't want any part of an Earl.

Chris, unless he's getting weight it's not a moneymaking match.

Keith, would only be a novelty game and several posters are right, the game there is 2 foul with Earl.

CJ vs Keith
Bartrum vs CJ
Neils VS Dechaine
Efren vs CJ my personal favorite

Parica would slaughter Sigel in every game.

Earl won't be back on TAR. I just can't handle the drama. Would be great to see Keith come out and play someone whether it was on TAR or anywhere else.

Get Rempe, Davenport, Varner, Sigel, and Hopkins and have a good 'ol ring game!!!

You know who doesn't know who CJ is? People that don't watch pool. The same people that would never bother purchasing a TAR match.

As for not wanting any part of Earl, I would never say CJ is a favorite in the match, but he's definitely not a huge underdog.

Buddy Hall

If you want one of the best (if not the best) 2 foul pushout players ever, get Buddy Hall. If his health is up to it, last I read he was still playing quite a bit. Him and Keith would be great, maybe 9-ball, 1 pocket and banks. It would be a great educational match.

A ring game would be a blast with some of the last generation players- Sigel, Varner, Hall ect.

Good luck.

I don't know the current state of your game CJ,but I'm curious about something.

If you had to play someone tomorrow night that played at the same level as your mid-90's peak, how would you stand?

I saw a couple hours of what your speed was for the cash, with you playing Rodney at the long-gone original Q-Master's in Norfolk.

At times that night I thought you were incapable of making a mistake to beat yourself. The only times you made mistakes were really tough shots to make balls,or tough safeties or your response to Rodney's moves and safes.

As far as a TAR match,I'd wanna watch CJ over some others, because there won't be any weird moments.

I'd take Sigel over Parica in an all around, but think Parica wins 1-p.

If he can still play,Rempe plays balls-out at all times, and a class act as well. Tommy D.

Playing Two Shot Roll Out changes everything

Playing Two Shot Roll Out changes everything. In Dallas I could get ready soon enough. ;)
