A big thank you to Sarah for speaking at the 2009
Junior Nationals. The junior players really related to
to her well. It was truly a sincere heart felt talk, with
REAL advise for the young players.

Sarah is an amazingly sweet person!!! It was a great
honor to have her at this event.

Her speech was great! I thought it was funny what she opened with. It was something along the lines of...

"I actually spent a while picking out what to wear for this, and you can't even see me over the podium."

I knew she was a little nervous about writing/giving the thing, but it was great to have her get up there and talk to all of us. :D

It is great to see Pool Dawg already getting bang for their sponsorship buck. I never doubted that Sarah would be great for them. When I was interested in sponsoring someone I was looking for someone young, enthusiastic, and on the rising side of their career. A clean image was a must too.

Sarah fills the bill on all counts!

i think she should go back to the mohawk hair style she used to have. she has a picture of her on her site with it and i think it really grabs your attention!
 
Sounds like Sarah gave a great speech and overcame her old fears of public speaking. Good for her!:smile:
 
Thank you everyone and sorry I didn't reply sooner. I really appreciate the kind words. I was very nervous about giving the speech so I'm glad it turned out okay! I just hope it got through a little bit.

It was nice to meet lots of new people and see some old friends. Congrats to all of the champions, Brenden, Briana, Landon and Liz!

Thanks to all of the kids and parents that made me realize that pool is fun and for kind of lifting my spirits! I appreciate it.

Jason was able to tape most of my speech. For those of you that wish to hear a very shaky voice, I will have it posted on my blog later tonight. It isn't too long, only about 5 minutes, even though it felt like a lifetime!
