You are right on with your analogy. It happened just like you stated. Throwing the pacifier was a reaction to all of Earls' PRIOR ANTICS.
I'm an American.. but Earl's antics are embarrassing to most all of us. I don't care how good you play pool it doesn't give you a pass to act like Earl does. Win like a Champion and lose like a Champion..

My statement was very clear, Earl has proved that he is Bigoted on a number of occasions. I will bring a up one, during a match with Francisco Bustamante good old Earl was upset with the racks he was getting. So, Francsico got tired of Earls Bullshit, and asked the Referee to rack the balls. This further sent Earl into a Tirade where he screams that if Fransico can't properly rack the balls he need to go back to the Jungles of the Philippines. This is only one case where Earls true colors have shown through.

Now if you continue to respond you will only look more foolish than you already do. Stop while you head, opinions are just that opinions and we all are entitled to our own.

Oh and by the way, if you are Earl hiding behind this new personality, deal with what you have done and grow up, because you can still change your behavior, and peoples opinions.

Earl got pissed after walking over to shake Ralf's hand...and Ralf walked the other way to go celebrate with his team mates first. Leaving him standing there....

As was said earlier, in the heat of battle the emotions are running awfully high. A lot is said, and done that's forgotten 1/2 hr later.

It's just a shame this sort of stuff goes on. One of the biggest, most prestigious tournaments, and it turns into a zoo.

That's not a sign of a bigoted fool. That's a sign of a pissed off redneck who has the honor to rack the balls tight for other players and if he feels slighted by another player and feels they are giving him loose racks because they fear his game he's going to stand up for himself. He is a Biggot, and he is also a real Cry Baby, now if you want someone like this representing you to the World that is fine, and it is your right, but not me brother!!!!! The pool I was watching ... would have been MORE boring without Earl. I think more people are tuning in to see Earl's antics than his skills. Kinda like people that tune in to Nascar to see a good crash. Earl is good for ratings.

All the talk about Earls antics by the euros and some of our own horrible commentators that pretend to be US fans makes me puke! I say this, competition brings out the best and worst of everyone not just Earl. I tend to sense that alot of the comments are made due to the fact that Earl put the "Peach" over his knee and spanked him in front of the entire world.Like I said in my previous post that noone responded to, bring your Euro champions to Derby City where the worlds best players play, and each and every one of your heroes can play our problem child Earl some and the window will be open. Why did we not hear the commentators say anything about the euro throwing the pacifier? If I'm not mistaking after the match was over it was Earl that sought out the opposing team to congratulate. I will have 50 players ready to get in the box against terrible Tony at the Derby and we'll see how he fares with some real heat on him. It was apparent that the break box was the euros x-factor in the cup match. How about the rolls Ralph got hooking Rodney behind the nine in a crucial rack? Funny noone mentioned it. I'm going to petition Greg Sullivan to change the name of the Derby City Classic to World Champions With The Heart To Get Up and Play Classic. Be there or you are a nobody!!!!

Also interesting is that it looked like the Europe team captain picked it up off of the floor just before he walked over to be interviewed on TV. When the interviewer asked him about it, he claimed that he didn't see a thing . . .

I have met Earl and really like him, but when you dish it out as often as he does, you have to be able to take it too...and he did. Not great behavior from Peach, but my hat is off to the professional response from Ralph.

Id just like to say, your kinda bitter when it comes to Earl, I wonder, if he came into your shop and said, Mr, I want a cue, to play in next years Us open, you would turn him down, chop his ass and send him packin right?

As according to your statements about Earl, I hardly doubt any Professional on tour would ever want to be assotiatied with you or your cues, because WTF you gonna do if they say or do something you dont like? He did break a cue, that bothers you doesnt it? well hey so did Archer, you gonna chop his ass too? like your opinions about Earl I think as a cue maker your a poor role model.. Joey..first off tOns of respect for you , as you are one of my favorite members here...but I just gotta ask this question....

Do you hold Earl's and his titles in the same regard...let's face..he has done plenty to deserve it.....

After watching the vid again...it was really a bullshit move by earl..pretty aggressive...to the point that more than a few not so level headed folks might have jacked him up right there on the spot.

Thanks for the kind words Smoke. Once in a while I post on subjects like this but not often. As far as Daryl is concerned, he acted no better than Earl. Earl has acted out many times for whatever reasons he acts out. The reasons that he acts out are many, in recent years I have witnessed UP CLOSE people taunting him, sharking him just to get a rise out of him. Earl could use a lot of improvement with his behavior and I think he is trying to improve but I don't think the public at large is willing to let him make these changes. I'm not making excuses for him because I like him or know him. I have had brief conversations with him and have come to like his eccentricities. I like unique people, people who play their own drums and march to their own tune. Earl does that about as well as anyone I know. That being said, I despise sharking another person in a pool match and I despise it in Earl when he does it regardless of the reason.

I blame the tournament directors for a lot of these problems. Giving a break to each person who intentionally inflames a player while their executing simply because it is the person's first time is a joke IMHO. The promoters and directors need to get a handle on the crowds and the players. Send the S**T starters out the door immediately when it can be determined that they started the crap. It is pretty easily determined most of the time. Repeated warnings for bad behavior is not a solution. A penalty must be exacted and then the rules will be paid more attention.

As to Daryl Peach, most of what I said about me supporting him as a champion is hyperbole and nothing for anyone to really pay attention to. After all I am nobody and Daryl Peach is the World Pool Champion. All of us make mistakes. Daryl showed tremendous poise in winning that World Pool Championship this year with the partisan crowd scrutinizing his every shot and pulling so hard against him. Not many people in the world could have handled the pressure like Daryl did. Throwing a pacifier at Earl, IF DARYL did, is a child's response and has no place on the world's professional pool scene no matter who you are.

If you find fault in Earl's behavior (and I sometimes do), if you find fault in the spectator's taunting of Earl (I do), if you find fault in some player's decision to push Earl's buttons (I do), then you have to find Daryl's behavior unacceptable no matter what Earl did (I do).

All of that being said, from time to time, I have done far worse than either of them when pushed to my limit.
