The FATBOY CHALLENGE TEN BALL

I am SO happy that I finally got rid of Johnny Archer! I actually had to make some phonecalls to get someone hire him for an exhibition, since no one wanted to buy him.

(Guess JA will not be too happy when he realise that the exhibition is kind of a practical joke on him, but hopefully he will be able to laugh about this in a few years)

I am all-in on the 16th player!

An opportunity has come up for someone(s) to stake John Schmidt in the Fatboy. If you're interested, you can PM me for info. It's $1,000, and must be paid prior to the evening of the 24th. No actionhounds please. :grin-square:
That's an inside joke.

If John wins two matches, you will make money. If he wins four matches, you'll make a lot of money.

Two more entries just came in today. Some guys named Efren and Francisco, whoever they are. :)

I bet SRS314 is not so upset now of being moved down to 3rd on the waiting list due to his dice roll.

I'll take 4-1 that a Filipino wins.

BTW - I am going to the DCC this weekend so please do not get excited if I do not paypal your winnings immediately after the tournament. I will be back late Sunday night and make all reimbursements on Monday.

Thanks everyone and good luck.

One more heads up. I just got word from the backer that John Morra is "iffy" for the Challenge. He is playing a Race To 100 with Dennis Hatch that may conflict. If this is the case, he plans to substitute either John Schmidt or Jason Klatt for Morra.

These things can happen with an event like this. It is not unusual to have last minute changes. The field may not be firm until Saturday, the 24th. Sorry if this creates problems for the "side" action, but I will do the best I can to keep you informed.

Any more details on this? If they are playing even, I like Hatch ... window open.

Thanks Jay - for our side action: any players drop out, it will be handled the same way it was with Roy/Archer. The owner will go to the 'end of the line' and get the last player to sign up for the event. That would also go for a situation like this where the backer is perhaps going to substitute a player.

Funny sir, thanks for reminding everyone! lol Actually I'm one of the crazy people that enjoys betting more on who I want to see when than who I think is going to win.

I honeslty would have been just as happy with Morra since he's my buddy.

Oh well, I guess it has to be Busta eh? Darn, I guess I will take him. lol

My heart would like to however since I'm backing Morra to play that would have all my eggs in 1 basket. So as much as I want to see him win it's a bonus to have Busta as well.

Sorry if my post got your hopes up.

Just posting to get email updates. Couldn't even find the dam thread.
Joe T still playerless.

As of tonite this is the full field for the Fatboy Challenge. Alex is out, because he was unable to make it to DCC. Corey, Jose, Lee Van and Hennessee are new. Charley Bryant is our first alternate, if anyone drops out or cannot come up with the entry money. Fourteen of the sixteen have paid their entries. Two have not. They have until tomorrow morning or we will replace them. Looks pretty good for a full field. The first matches are scheduled to go off at Midnite Saturday.

i guess this means that either lee van or most likely jose is my horse then, since i was atleast not nr 16 after alex dropped out?

posting from frankfurt airport, germany. soon a 10 hour flight to chicago. see u soon
