There's a new KING of pool

Yeah, nothing against Shane, but both guys played horrible tonight (aside from Shane's ball running).

Efren just happened to play way worse.

Yeah. Efren had a very uncharacteristically, maybe historically, bad night for him. Our modern sports culture always wants to blow things out of proportion.

SVB..... beat Efren 11 to 2 in one hole. The torch has been passed!!!
I do think you are correct Shane might be the best player in the world and i think Efren can play close to that level sometimes now but Efren in his prime vs Shane that would be a match for the ages they are both two of the greatest players of all time and i fell lucky and its been an a real honor the watch both in my lifetime

I jumped in a little late and all I seen was a slaughter. Hopefully tomorrow will be a turn around for Reyes.

I'm buying the idea that the torch has been passed. As we saw in his undefeated run to the DCC 1-pocket championship just over a week ago, Efren is still capable of moments of incomparable brilliance, but the torch was passed long ago, and I'm sure that Efren is fine with having guys like Shane, Darren, and Dennis carry the torch for this generation of players. Not only are they magnificent players, but they all appreciate Efren's accomplishments and know what he has meant to the game.

put up some big money and see how efren plays then. shane will be asking for weight

Justin on fb said that eferin is about 60 years old and between the dcc and all the traveling around it he looked exhausted from the start and only got worse as the night went on. Even the mighty magician can't get away beat father time..

nah....Efren doesnt want SVB to feel bad after losing the final 2 days, so he gave him the 1pocket.....Efren is a humanitarian! :)

but I think he eats meat? :)

You don't think age was a factor here I'm surprised the guy can still make it to the table after all the shooting he's done the last couple weeks

No offense or anything, but that is what usually happens in many types of sports when one person wins and the other loses.

The point the OP was trying to make is that Shane is the best one pocket player, and that he really outplayed Efren. Which I kindly pointed out wasn't the case, and that the score was a reflection of Efren's poor play, more so than Shane's superiority.

Shane ran the balls very well, but other than that, his performance was sub-par.

What was efren's highest # of balls run in a single inning?

He looked like he was prepared to play all night, but like Scotty t says, ' I never been beat, I just ran out of..."

It was time last night that he ran out of.
