This is how a cue should be bought and sold - My custom spectacular Fanelli Butterfly

I was lucky enough to view this cue in person and hit with it. It is absolutely sick in every way that a cue can be. The color scheme, the way the woods come together, the points, the butterflies, just sick. The first thing Justin and I said when he pulled it out was "Damn we dont like butterfly cues but this one changed our minds". I cant imagine a nicer guy owning and deserving this cue, congrats Watchez. Dont forget, i got first dibs on it!! lol

I can vouch that this is one hell of a nice cue and better looking in person.

Thanks beav - you had me a little nervous the way you swing the cue around in between shots. I think you watched Tom Cruise too much in The Color of Money. :D

Stakehorse - Simply, I need weight.

Hell Watchez, thats the back swing on my stroke, you couldnt tell? lol

Beautiful cue and great write-up. I had a cue delivered three months ago and had a great experience too. You can tell how much passion Fanelli has for his cues.

Sometimes I can't see pictures in threads at work (some pictures come up, some don't, not sure why) so I just got around to seeing these pictures and all I can say is wow! What a beautiful cue.

I'm a fan of fancy butterfly splices and this one is amazing. Your avatar doesn't do the joint protectors justice.

Great write up too. Congratulations, I'm envious.

Beautiful cue, wonderful writeup, great customer service. Rep to you for sharing this great story with us.

May every rack you run be just that much sweeter.

Rep for a great write up and for a peek at the communication that (should) go on during the process.

I'm a sucker for a happy ending!

I saw the cue...one of the most beautiful cues Ive ever seen...looks like 3 different cues in 1...so beautiful! If I had to estimate market value my head would spin and blow up...yes it is that nice...the pics he has(sorry Watchez) dont do the cue any justice whatsoever.

Oh My God!!! I love this thread.

I just found this thread for the first time while I was google trolling for Fanelli cues.

Below photo from JCIN rocks!!! FU JCIN!!!

I got lucky enough to hold this cue for about a minute at the Derby. It's stunning beautiful.

If anyone would like to give me a Christmas gift, this is what I want.

Anyways......
Over the years, there have been plenty of negative threads about some cuemakers and the dealings that customers have had with them.
Paul far exceeded my expectations with both the cue and his customer service that he provided. He listened to my wants, told me his opinions as a cuemaker, and kept me regularly updated with emails and pics along the way. Paul initiated most of this email correspondence along the way. He is a very intelligent man and gives careful explanation of his thoughts.

Watchez,
While the cue is definitely fabulous - really the nicest looking cue I've ever seen - I think there are better ways to obtain such a cue that would involve a lot less waiting time. Here are the steps for the uninitiated:

#1 - Invite Watchez to play some pool.
#2 - Buy Watchez several beers or soda's.
#3 - When Watchez heads to the bathroom, snag the cue and RUN LIKE HELL!!.

For those of us with less patience, this is a sound strategy.

Note to self - only play Willie at his house. :)

Get ahold of me next time you are in St. Louis sir.

Glad this thread got re-opened. Paul Fanelli is a great guy to work with and even a greater cuemaker. I am a relatively cue idiot but I see some of the 'wants' that people have that are 4 point, non descript cues that you have to wait 9 years for or you can wait 6 months and get a cue with the workmanship like this that no one else can do. Seems like a no brainer to me.

WOW!
Somehow I missed this thread.

That is one fine looking cue and the accolades bestowed on Mr. Fanelli are well deserved.
