Tom Ross medical condition

Very sorry to hear about that, Dr. Dave. You wouldn't wish this on anyone, but Tom not only seems like a consummate pro, but a good guy as well. My best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Jim

I am sending positive thoughts and prayers to Tom, his family, and his many friends including you, Dave.

Best,

I know Tom very well, but haven't been to the Skylark lately and sort of lost touch with him.
Tom is a terrific person, i'm really sorry to hear this.
He's been running the upstairs pool room / bar at the Skylark Lounge for years now, since his days at Shakespears.
The last time I was there, Tom had a group of people watching an old movie and drinking cocktails.
Tom makes it a great place to go, and he is a very good pool instructor.

I'm going to call a couple of people I know that see him all the time.

Sad news, but thanks for starting this thread.

Wishing Tom a speedy recovery

All though we were not close, his instruction changed my game. Recover quickly Tom, wishing you the best in thoughts and prayers.

I used to run into Tom on occasion at Shakespeare's and loved talking to him Tom if you see this were all pulling for you.

I have bad news concerning Tom Ross, long-time players, coach, instructional author (for BD, Cue Times, and Ozone Billiards), and my partner on the VEPS project.

Tom had a stroke earlier this week. I visited him in Denver Health hospital today, and it was very upsetting to see him and hear about his status. He is still on a breathing tube, still has lots of swelling (from falling during the stroke, and from surgery), is showing little or no signs of motion on his right side, and is in a drug-induced coma (mostly due to the need for the breathing tube). We won't know the long-term prognosis until the swelling goes down and he becomes fully conscious. I'll post updates as things change.

I know some of you know or have met Tom, so I thought you would want to know. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Dave

I have met Tom and found him to be one of the nicest guys around as well a great and patient instructor.

I hope for a full and speedy recovery. I am sure that this is devastating for you Dave and my heart goes out to you and Tom's family.

Wishing you the very best in this difficult time.

Thanks for the updates on Tom's condition, Dave. It is sad indeed, I think he is only 50. Tom is a great person, great player (all games), great instructor and a good friend. I was shocked when I first heard the news. Diane & I will continue to think of Tom in our prayers and hope he comes out of this healthy again.

Dave

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this post.

Tom has been one of the biggest contributors to pool it seems forever. I admire his tireless dedication to this wonderful sport. The knowledge he has shared with everyone is priceless to those that listen.

Every time I see Tom I would look at him, like wow. Tom's here.

Get well my friend and take care of your health.

Hope to see you in the near future. If not I might have to look you up.

You just got bumped up to the top on my prayer list my friend.

Good Luck geno...........

Sad to hear this news, I don't know Tom but wish him the best. God bless and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery from the Coats family.

Here's hoping for a full recovery. Tom's "In Focus" articles were always well written and helpful. Hope to read more from Tom in the future. We'll keep you in our prayers.

So sorry to hear this, just saw him a couple months ago. Tom and his family are in my prayers.
