I always thought Mark Wilson might make a good choice. But obviously Billy would be great to have as well.
 
He is a nice guy, can shoot a little, and seems to know the game. :eek:

The guy in that picture will be an excellant Bookie if there are bets on the game. His skills in booking are second to none on planet Earth. I am not sure about making him a captain of the US team. His leadership skills were never been tested and USA should not take a chance in testing his skills in the leadership role. I know that he was a champion 9 Ball player and won the Johnston city 9 ball tournament.:cool:

LOL.. you beat me to it... it would be very hard to get a good middle down if Billy were in the mix ... HOWEVER his analytical understanding of the game and ability to make games // set-lines between competitors might be exactly the skill-set required to put winning combinations in this format... my vote is :yes:

Slightly off-topic, I just read on wikipedia that Mark Wilson has played a couple of times for the US in the mosconi cup. Anyone got any vids of him playing?
 
Billy is a mover on and off the table. The players don't need to be taught how to shoot, but macthing the players up would be right up his alley. I'd say that alone would win at least one extra match. Johnnyt
 
I used to go to a lot of tournaments all over the country.
I have watched nearly every player in the last 45 years play in tournaments, money games and just sit around talking theory and Mr. Incardona would be my pick.
I think his tremendous knowledge of players styles, matching up and his motivation and insight would be a huge plus with any player on the team.

all kidding aside, the man is pretty much a genius when it comes to knowledge on matching up players and, so, the mosconi cup would be right in his wheelhouse.

Doubt the US would win with Incardona as coach, but they'd make a killing in the green room in side action.
 
From personal experience, Tommy Kennedy or Mark Wilson would be my choice. To be fair, I've never met Billy. He is my favorite broadcaster though.
