What AZ'er(s) You've Never Met But Would Like To - And Optionally, Why?

I've had many opportunities to introduce myself to AZBers and ended up shy and tongue tied. Didn't really know what to say.

Stumbled upon JCIN at an event once and I recognized his face immediately. I did a fast double take and totally stared at him, trying to think where I knew him from. He stared right back at me. Suddenly I realized I didn't actually know him- it was from here, and I only knew his face from his avatar. By now we've been staring at each other awhile and I suddenly got really embarrassed and walked away fast. Had to look strange. : )

I actually see many AZBers fairly frequently and I can't think of anything to say. I mean, I could tell OMGWTF how much I like her blog if I ever approached her, but I could just do that online and not risk personal injury by accidentally choosing the wrong time, too. : ) Anyway, "Hi, I'm blah blah" sounds dumb in my head- I'm not saying that out loud.

I have very very much liked the AZBers I did meet and of course those I already knew.

Last: I didn't directly interact with Drivermaker much, but I still miss his posts even now.

Should I ever happen to be anywhere you might be, please feel free to say 'hello, I'm blah blah". I will happily shake your hand and flip for a beer.

And, btw, it can't sound much stranger than 'hi, I'm kickin' chicken'. :p

best,
brian kc

Or, "I'm justadub"..... :p

I always get a kick out of it when someone comes up to me and says "I'm so and so from AZ Billiards." I've met so many people over the last few years and enjoyed them all. Of course JoeyA is my favorite, but I would like to meet Hu some day. And my man Terry for sure. I almost met Jam before I got kicked out of the Venetian, but that story will be in my new book. I've been busy lately working on More Pool Wars, so not as much time for AZ. Take care all!

P.S. That is not really me in the avatar. I AM a short filipino!

From what I've heard, you guys would play dead even, although whoever got Hank's $1.00 water would have a slight edge! :D

Me playing Measureman?
Maybe not as even as you think. You see I know his game better than anyone.
Real good shot maker and handles the cue ball very well-but in banking a little weak.
The only thing that worries me about playing him is I've heard him offer the ghost the 8 and the break playing 9 ball. Thats strong.

AZers to meet

I like these kinds of threads. Heck, I even made two of the lists (Jam and Sean: You two are most definitely at the top of my list of AZB'ers I'd like to meet).

Like a lot of posters have said, there's just too many to name.

Hu would be up on the upper end of my list because I could enjoy throwing competitive shooting into our conversations.

Folks with great senses of humor/witty would be high on the list. Like Black-Balled, BlueHogRider, etc. (once again, too many to list).

People who shoot about my speed with a nice demeanor would rate high on my list. justadub quickly comes to mind here, but there are many others.

This list is very hard to NOT have several HUNDRED names on it :embarrassed2:!!!

Maniac (loves you ALL, really!)

I would love to meet all of you!

But just to mention a (FEW) I would say Jay H. Kicken Chicken, & Joey A

In the Hanks world, all the Bruces play the measureman.

(A spoof on "In the spirit world, all the ghosts play The Efren." :p )

I just had a vision of somebody giving the ghost the break....
...and going broke to table time waiting...:scratchhead:

I'll give the ghost the breaks...

I know all too well. I think the ghost is ducking me.
But at "Hanks" table time is a flat $6.00 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

I'm not yet ready to commit one way or the other on whether I'd like to meet measureman, but I will say this, his new avatar is much more handsome. :p

best,
brian kc <---- who may be getting sized up for a carpet remnant fitting real soon. ;)

I've had the pleasure of meeting a few Az'ers over the past 3 years.. Perk, Black-Balled, World Pro (play him on his beautiful Diamond Pro twice a week!!) UGOTTHE6, 9ball Bucky, Billy Stephen Brandon Shuff, Josh Dickerson and Max Eberle... All of them really nice guys and great players!!

Others I would want to meet... Hmmmm probably Neil so we can debate HOW WOULD YOU HIT THIS... almost every game. Joey A because he talks a big game and Jay Herfelt for the stories. Overall I would enjoy meeting anybody from the forum!! We all have the same passion for pool so why wouldn't you want to meet up??? Speaking of which I'm meeting up with a new member tomorrow at Whetzels in Manassas VA around 6. If you in town we can get down :-)

Jay, when you said Terry, you didn't mean me right? I know, I know.
Actually, I would like to meet Jay some day and have a few hundred beer with him. I'm sure it would take that many to get thru at least 1/2 of his stories.

PT, Sean, Measureman, Chicken, with all the puns, going on, our stomachs would probably hurt for a week from laughing so much.

I do think Brian is afraid to travel to Canada. I'm still working on him for the next Clash. I know Sean is up for it. If I get kicked
out of the USA again, I just might end up being a ward of the state for some time.

Brian, our beef is grain fed, you might like it.

Thats a picture of me at Halloween! I got lots of candy but ate it all before i got home. Must of been the costume.
That was Bogart we had him from 1980 to 1994. Best dog I ever had.
He is better looking then me. He couldn't play pool very good-kept dogging it.

Great looking pup. Its dogs like that, that make you wish you didn't have a wife. All they need is a loving hand and to keep the food and water dish full and they have no complaints.

Whens the last time you took yer old lady fer a ride in the car and she hung her face out the window to catch some wind and loved you for it.

My wife uses more toilly paper in one day than a dog will use in a year.

A dog won't clutter up a bathroom with all that crap makeup. Well mine will crap on the bathroom floor once in a while. My dog, not my wife.

Most dogs don't snore, at least like my wife does.

The more I read your posts I'm starting to think we should cancel the fence at the Mexican border and move it to the Canadian border.

I recommend that anyone travelling post when and where and often some AS members will come out.
