What AZ'er(s) You've Never Met But Would Like To - And Optionally, Why?

Aw, shucks. I hope we meet someday too. I can tell you're a real gentleman, a rarity in today's pool world.

You and I have actually spoken on the phone. I couldn't get over how much you sound just like Liljon with that sweet Southern accent. I'm a sucker for a Southern drawl. Love it! :smiling-heart:

I have met dannyb, though he may not remember me. I've seen him in many a tournament in my area. He's always been serious about pool, whether in a tournament or gambling setting. I'd say he's good pool peeps.

Terry Ardeno, I did meet one time at SBE, but it was brief. I have communicated with him several times offline via phone and PMs. He's a very kind man, generous, and is very passionate about the history of pool. We could use a few more just like him in this pool world, I tell you.

Johnnyt, he'd definitely be on my list too. I know he's got pool running in his blood, just like we all do, and I'd really enjoy hanging out with him on the rail and sweat a few matches. I think it would be fun!

I'd like to meet Corvette, just to give him a hug. I think we'd share a few laughs in our conversation.

I want to meet Lind. I know I may never have that opportunity, but I just want to.

I definitely would like to meet Mr. Wilson someday. He doesn't live too far from me. Out of all the AzB-ers, he's top on my list to meet. I like a man who goes against the current for what he believes is right. It's a tough job being moderator of a pool forum. I don't know how he does it -- for free, no less.

Without naming names, there is one member of this forum I would enjoy meeting in person, up front and close, so I let them know my thoughts about some topics. I haven't been able to write my true thoughts on this forum, and so having the opportunity to say them to his/her face will allow me to tell it like it is and put a few things to rest that have been stuck in my craw, as I read their one-sided words based on no foundation whatsoever. Those who laugh last will laugh best, and I can't wait to enjoy laughing at this creep when the curtain falls. This megalomaniac continues to exist in his/her self-absorbed little fantasy world.

Believe it or not, I have met quite a few AzB-ers on the tournament trail in the past, and I hope to get back on this trail soon and meet a few more. It's fun to put a face to the name. I'd love to pick a lobster with Justadub, wolf down a few crawfish with Shooting Arts and JoeyA. Why does everything surround food?! :embarrassed2:

I'd enjoy hanging out with Sfleinin and discuss punctuation topics. :p

Oh, how I would enjoy getting to know the AnitoKid. What a breath of fresh air he is, and I kid you not!

Though not a member here anymore, I always thought that meeting Drivermaker would be cool. He's got a creative mind. I recognize he's got a strong intelligence quota. His creativity and sense of humor have tickled my funny bone more than once, though it's been a long while since I have read him. I think he'd be a hoot to hang out with for an evening of pool! :D

I admire a woman who stands by her man and does it with style. Sunnyday is like a ray of sunshine on AzBilliards. I would love to meet her.

Blackjack would definitely be someone I'd love to chat with at length. He is so passionate about pool, but first and foremost, he's just such a nice person. I admire him a lot from afar for sure. He's also cute! ;)

One of the most misunderstood members is Smokey. I would just like to shake his hand and let him know how much I appreciate his contributions to this forum. This is a first-class gentleman in so many ways.

PT109, Rayjay, Bluehog Rider, Mojoe, Sev, LWW, Maniac, Jason, Manwon, each one of these guys are special, and I never hesitate to read anything they write.

Cuejoey and JimS, two Azb-ERS who go out of their way to make positive contributions to this forum do not go unnoticed by me. Both of them are an asset to this forum!

I can't forget C.Milian. She's quite special and someone who I have to put on my list to meet someday.

Freddy the Beard, so I can discuss offline a certain match between him and a mutual friend -- <wink> -- but most importantly, I know he's a good man. I like him.

I know I am forgetting some names that will come to me later.

Drivermaker and I talk on the phone and email each other regularly. He said to tell you the feeling is mutual and he'd love spending an evening together. He'll always be grateful to you for the picture you sent of Keith shooting at the table and it hangs proudly on his Wall of Fame of his pool room at home.

I've met a LOT of AZBers' over the years...

i just don't really want to make a list of the one's that I haven't met but would like to, because I just don't want to offend anyone I may have a brainfart on and forget about.

Not that I'm saying I would like to brainfart on any of you either...:o

Oh I think you know what I'm talking about....

Jaden

I can't think of an AZer that I wouldn't want to meet... There are several that I shouldn't just because of the potential for conflict...:D

I would like to meet Measureman.
I find his posts to be very insightful and funny.
I also hear he plays pretty good and I would like a chance to match up with him.

I'd like to meet/run into Hangemhigh.... just to stick my foot up his a** and take what he owes me in pain.

Other than that... I'm good! Maybe Ralf in Germany. He seems like a cool dude.... The chicken too... He's always been a straight cat to deal with.

R,

Greg

.

The ultimate would be getting me, JCIN, bignasty, bigskyjake, easy-e, disco, cleary, JOEY and marsman together for a proper weekend in Vegas. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of bail money needed to fund that venture.

Screw you too.......:p

Chris

Person I'd most want to meet is Super Star on here, to see who it is. I feel like it would be a shocker.

Other people I'd like to meet would be Disco and Cleary.

The whole rat pack from NPR as well.

The best part about meeting people in person is the initial reaction you get when you see their face and think: " That was you? " LOL

" You look nothing like I imagined " LOL

Definitely a few guys from the action area that like to throw up some bills on pool and other sports. Black-Balled, Apocalypse (sp), and a few other posters who have similar humor to me posting in the funny/pic thread or just the types of post in general. A few cuemakers make the list too that post on here just so I can see some of their work in their shop which I am sure is amazing from what I have seen on here.

I've had many opportunities to introduce myself to AZBers and ended up shy and tongue tied. Didn't really know what to say.

Stumbled upon JCIN at an event once and I recognized his face immediately. I did a fast double take and totally stared at him, trying to think where I knew him from. He stared right back at me. Suddenly I realized I didn't actually know him- it was from here, and I only knew his face from his avatar. By now we've been staring at each other awhile and I suddenly got really embarrassed and walked away fast. Had to look strange. : )

I actually see many AZBers fairly frequently and I can't think of anything to say. I mean, I could tell OMGWTF how much I like her blog if I ever approached her, but I could just do that online and not risk personal injury by accidentally choosing the wrong time, too. : ) Anyway, "Hi, I'm blah blah" sounds dumb in my head- I'm not saying that out loud.

I have very very much liked the AZBers I did meet and of course those I already knew.

Last: I didn't directly interact with Drivermaker much, but I still miss his posts even now.

Whoever is fun to be around, not cocky or arrogant, loves the game and doesn't think they are the best thing under the sun when it comes to pool. That should narrow it down, I hope.
