What cuemakers do you NOT have to ask, "Are the points straight?"

Recuts, veneered, full-spliced...et cetera. Which cuemakers do you see in the FS/FT, or elsewhere of interest, do you feel the most confident about not having to ask about exacting ringwork and/or point work?

For example: Black Boar, Vollmer Cues

straight as they come

How about Andy Gilbert, Bill Schick,South West,Mottey ,James White, Gus and Barry Szam,Phillippi,Jimmy Ingram,Black boar.Capone,Danny Janes, Jim Buss , Gina, Eurowest, Judd's, Richard Black, Ernie Martinez, Nova, Schon,Thomas Wayne, Tad, sorry if I missed someone and I'm sure I did-just want to be a upfront poster mark

The real question is who can get the points/veneers straight by hand. NOT CNC, anyone exceot me-can get perfect points with CNC with a bit of practice, thats the question.

the answere, it dosnent really matter, if they are within .5-.7mm they are just fine, On my Black Boar there is a slight difference, same goes for Barry on sone cues, others are perfect. It has no effect on anything, thats what matters,

best

Did you just say that all in one breath ????

Another one for Jeff Olney. Not only are his points razor sharp and perfectly aligned, any ringwork lines up perfectly at every point. Not all cue makers get that right, either.

You got that right Jeff Olney.

Keith Josey doesn't make a lot of Pantograph pointed cues...but the ones he does make are great...all points straight, the same height, and needle sharp.

I have to agree with this. I just got an Olney 6 pointer (3 high, 3 low) and the points are super sharp, they are straight all the way around, and all 5 rings line up from A to E. The cue finish is perfect, it plays amazing, and I can't for the life of me understand why Jeff's cues aren't valued up there with the $2000+ makers.
