Brunswick 9 ft GC3 I bought several years ago to motivate myself to try to get feeling better.
I am going to have the cloth put on when I get back from Az next time.
Played a lot of pool on my old Legacy 7 footer, and loved it. Recently upgraded to an Olhausen 9 footer, and love it. Pool is Pool, and I love it on any table. In short, I'm not a table snob (some are).
Had a GC2 in the garage before my parents sold the house last year. Bought it for a couple hundred from a friend's landlord and did a simple restoration job on it. Nothing too elaborate, just sanded all the paint off then stained the wood underneath. If i remember correctly, it had 3 layers of paint before I got all the way down to it: blue, orange, and white.
That also reminds me of a 1973 CB350G restoration project I did around the same time. I had to park the bike right up against the head of the table so the garage could close. I also had to position the table so my parents could still park their van in the remaining garage space. (It spent a lot of time outside anyway because I lived on that table when it was done.)
Man, good memories. I'm definitely going to go for a similar project again in the future when I get my own house.
7' Olhausen....got it probably about 4-5 years ago for $2k at Muellers that included a light set, cover, set of Aramith balls, rack, couple house cues, brush, cue holder set for the room, delivery, and a couple of upgrades on the table itself.
7' Olhausen Augusta. Deciding between a 7 and 8 footer in a tight room was one heck of difficult decision. I will regret going with a 7 footer when I get so good on the 7 that I'm bored of it. In other words, I'm not going to regret it
I have 3 ball sets for this table, currently using a set of Raschigs from Germany
Also have a NOS set of Centennials from the early 60's as well as a later set
of Centennial TV balls.
