What is this RSB you speak of?
Ghosst might be considered an old schooler. He is BAZ but doesn't post as much as he used to. Good guy though.
Dave, Ortelia, and Donald Tees (who are newer than even me?) brought some good laughs, but I haven't been back out east to see them in a long time. I recall them warning me about playing some WPBA pro after I beat her, and the waitress who kept giving me pints half full of head with a wink.
If you haven't heard, Donald Tees passed away a few years back. I know who the WPBA pro is, but who was this waitress who kept giving you head?
With this site being around now for quite the time and me being gone for a period of time, it appears to me that lately there has been more of an influx of new members actively posting than in the recent years. I used to read posts and threads and know most people involved. Now I don't know many of them.
Makes me think, who are the Old Schoolers of AZ -
Trigger, Blackjack, Cuaba, Fast N Loose, Fatboy (well only Fatboy1 not Fatboy2), Hangemhigh, JAM, JB Cases, JoeyA, Manwon, Ribdoner, Rossaroni, Williebetmore, Spidey, Houmatroy, Mikeyfrost, lfigueroa, Terry Ardeno, Corvette, JCIN, Jay Helfert, Saw, ME....I am sure there are a slew more but those are off the top of my head.
With the state of the forum today, it made me think of this thread.
Aye? Back in my day, we didn't have no "Aye's". It was AAAAYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! You danged kids and you're impatience, always shortenen' everything...
I don't know about the "Good Guy" part, but I do recall some good times on ASP and RSB. Our tourney in Titusville was definitely a great way to spend my vacation (actually outside of a trip to DR, it was the last vacation I had!)
At the end of that night, around 2:30AM, I remember sitting in the back of the car while Bob Jewett and Ed Mercier drove us back to Orlando, the two of them swearing back and forth about squirt and who was right. I don't think I stopped chuckling about that for years.
There are of course too many people to recall and name without fear of missing some names, but I will mention meeting Arnot and Sherm, Doug, Becky, Jim, and Claudia to name but a few.
Some of the other memories have been mentioned, but the "Gang of Four" (became Gang of Nine didn't it?) was a fun club to belong to although I'm not sure why I was inducted, and of course, Sincerely Sam and his "jungle rules" were a good laugh.
Ron Shepard used to make my eyes wander when he and Bob got into squirt physics calculations. Jim Meador was a great guy and always kept a level head.
And Deno, if you're out there somewhere, the pink Versace always reminds me of good times. That and your amusing, "what the Hell do you do with pockets on a table?!" comment.

Mike Page, Joey A, and Blackjack also deserve special mention as I've known them since before we had this high-speed innarwebz stuff. Back in my day we had to "Dial Up" the internet. There are others of course, but I'll leave my list there for now.
PS: I was on AZ before it's first "upgrade", although I don't believe I registered, just watched quietly from the sidelines. I'm still around, I just don't log on that often because I find it a little too addicting.
Oh and to whomever it was that mentioned her, I too recall LFreidman.
Yep, remember when we didn't even need moderators? Then it started to get nastier and nastier. I think the only solution is to use the temporary ban much more frequently... Too bad really.. Many of the early posters are now just reading and not willing to participate..
Yes many sheep arrive on this forum to cause confrontation, but the current generation of young media sheep, all they see and hear in the Tabloid media of the 21st century is sensationalism, negativity , misinformantion, deceit and the constant barrage of political youknow what. To me this is at the core of the Forum problems of fighting. Even this past week I was STILL getting robo calls speaking about the negative aspects of the other party. I feel confident in saying that many of those voted into office to represent ''we the people'' were not raised by their family to be king of the school yard and never give in or compromise with another, yet, with their $kewed agenda benefitting a few, they only benefit the minority and hurt society as a whole. What I'd like to hear is all the good that's happening, not the bad. Because with the bad get more attention, it perpetuates the cycle.
