Just wondering what others think about AzB's long term prospects.

So, what do you think?

best,

When main forum is dominated by threads on shafts, vibrations, tits, balls and active I am not surprised active users rarely exceed 200 cos visitors probably think they are in some adult forum

I doubt it, Brian. By then the world, as we know it, will have been taken over by robots that have a programmed fondness for One Pocket, Snooker, and fine Cuban cigars.
The rotation games will be considered unimaginative by the mechanical horde, and will quickly become a thing of the past.
The only humans left will be those in the lubricating oil business, and extended life battery systems. :)

It might actually get more active.

Things have a way of coming around. Maybe a new movie, with big named stars in it, is coming out.. Worked before.

The video game industry has a chokehold on kids today.

I'd be interested to see the age groups on this forum. Is it more older people, younger or an even mix.

I feel confident that the forums will still be here in 2020. The only things that I see that could see the end of the forums would be the detonation over the center of the USA of a nuclear device that would cause the destruction of the info/electrical power grids, the appearance of a zombie plague that devastates the world population, or the ascension of the human race into a higher realm of existence. Baring any or all of those above scenarios I think the forums are good to go.

Of course myself I may have to continue to watch my health and make sure that I dont do anything that could bring on a third heart attach that could prematurely prevent my being here in 2020.

The way technology is changing I don't see forums being around awhole lot longer. But it's longer than 5 years so yeah AZ will be around.. You already are seeing a few posters go the way of the dinasaur and take up on FB... The real time back and forth without refreshing is pretty cool as well as the ability to moderate on your own threads is a big draw.... Most of the professional players are fairly active on FB and they won't be caught dead in here.....

I would say that whatever the next big thing is that replaces the book of faces will likely make social interactions even easier.... Nothing is forever... But nothing is saying AZ may not migrate to a new platform as those emerge and exist as something besides being a forum......
