Pat Fleming and the Accustats crew streamed it last year and Breakers Billiards is the new home of the renamed arena now called Simonis Arena. So I am 99.9% sure it will be streamed again !
 
Is Breakers easy to get to by public transportation, especially for people from New York City? Last year was my first time attending the World 14.1 Championship, and I had a hard time getting people to come out with me until I mentioned that I was driving. I know this concern prevented a few others from coming out, and just settle for watching the video stream at home.

Does anyone know if there are any good hotels very near by? Walking distance would be nice ... :D

I wish i could play a qualifier too ! But someday i will be there, at least to watch ! maybe next year...
 
Last year Dragon Promotions was not able to meet all the criteria for this event to be WPA sanctioned. My memory may be wrong, one of the criteria cited that the venue had to be a hotel, not a poolhall.

Dragon Promotions pushed ahead and held the event at Comet Billiards anyway. Let's find a way to support this year's event.

I don't remember that part but IIRC the event was a little bit short of the required added money to be sanctioned by the WPA as a World Championship. There may also have been some politics involved with the scheduling of competing events in Europe as well but my memory is fuzzy on this point.
