"I will give up 3-1 on the money and take Shane. If Shane loses, I pay off and if Shane plays the second set on the nine footer, I get to bet the same amount and the second time I will lay 6-1."
If you bet $100 on Earl and win, you're up $300. Earl must play again on a 9'er if Shane wants it. Then billychips bets the same amount, which is $300. This is where it's not clear to me. If he's betting $300 and laying 6:1, then he's going up against $50. But he may mean he's putting up $1800 to $300, that's why I asked a couple posts ago.
It's not clear to me.
According to the above he would be laying 3-1 on the first $100 bet and 6-1 on the same bet ($100) the second time. It is a little unclear if he wants to bet $300 (the amount he lost on the first bet) the second time and risk losing $1,800. I'm not sure even Billy knows what he means.
