Earl calling out Joe Rogan

Well ... just to make it fair ...

I think they should play a set of 9-ball then have a UFC-style cage fight.

Edit: I see this isn't an original idea. :)

Hey all Earl would like to play a challenge match gainst Joe Rogan for whatever he wants to play for. Earl said that since he is good at impressions maybe he can do and impressionon of a pool player. Where are you Joe? I seen you put something up here just recently so lets have it what u want to play where and for how much. Lets have some fun and put it up on youtube tar can do the PPV. Let me know :) I expect to hear crickets

sounds like someone got his feelings hurt.lol. that big baby needs to grow up!

I don't blame Earl for being upset.

- It wasn't a beeskeeper outfit. it was a full fencing suit with wrap around glasses.

- They were NOT waders, they were galoshes.

- Plus he didn't mention the now banned finger lengtheners, arm hyper-extender, or my grip jock-strap.

And you call yerself pool players???

Chris

Let me go on the record that if it is strictly a boxing match Earl may not win but he will tag Joe in the face several times. Earl has a swift jab, I've seen him throw it...it's pretty damn sporty. He's not very good at preventing himself from being choked out though.

A great idea-do some serious good.

How about this - make a promo video of Joe negotiating with Earl as Earl to come to a agreed upon spot and what they want to do for charity. You know, the winner chooses their charity for the money put up. This would make a great promo to induce ppv viewers for the event, which a portion of the ppv goes to charity as well.

Can you just see Joe down on a shot and lifting his head and talking to Earl as Earl? I'm laughing already. And it would go without saying that Joe has permission to be "Earl" whenever he sees fit. I'm hoping Earl has the sense of humor to allow this to take place - it's hard to get a read on him.

I would buy the ppv, especially if it was for charity. Let's do this!

Dave

If Earl can see the serious good that could come from a charity fund raiser of this type it would be terrific. I'm certain that Earl possesses a good sense of humor. There is no shortage of personal tragedies that befall people we know in this extended billiard family. It could be a real opportunity for us to raise some money for some very deserving people (children) as well as have some serious fun-and maybe change some opinions about some folks-and heal some old wounds. Laughing at-and with-can ease a lot of pains.

I hope we don't miss out on an opportunity to have some fun/ possibly change substantially the future quality of life for some kid(s) and in general focus on the positives that can and do exist in our community.

I think Joe knows that there is no greater compliment to someone than to imitate them. And for a comedian-to absolutely nail-the essence of the man who is beeing parodied- speaks volumes about his talent to distill that essence into a brief but unmistakable imitation.

IMHO we could stand to whine/bark/challenge etc- a little less-and spend a bit more time having a good time doing some serious good.

Please consider it. Opportunity may be knocking. And we know about knocking.

Best wishes

Well, Lets see if Joe responds. Say it ain't so Joe.

If I understand this correctly, there has been no offer of a spot. So are we to gather this is Earl Strickland calling out Joe Rogan on the internet to play him even?

I'm not sure that warrants a response.

Od Course not, Joe can't beat Earl Even. If he responds we will work it out, where when weight and $$. No fighting but maybe a game of golf I think I could get Schmidt, Earl, Davenport and Corey on one team against whoever Joe can come up with and play a team challenge for a little Gouda :)

Joe Vs. Earl (even)

I'm guessing Joe would play Earl even provided they each ate some of Joe's "Special Browines" afetr each rack. The match would go something like this.... Earl races out to a quick 6-0 lead then, out of nowhere, Earl all f the sudden cant make a ball. Joe seems to find another gear after his 7th brownie and by the end of the set, Earl is chalking his nose instead of his cue. Joe wins and Earl does not answer when Joe asks if Earls wants to go again.

Level Playing Field . . .

Woof . . . woof . . . WOOF!

I think thats a great idea.. Golf...
I'd love to bet on that..
You have those 4 guys on your team..
And Joe gets "whoever Joe can come up with and play a team challenge for a little Gouda" :) OK Best Ball...
Should be funny who Joe can get to play with him..
Best,
Ken

Unlike most good pool players, Joe does actually work for a living :D

Lets give him a reasonable amount of time to respond before panic sets in ;)

And I think this is a GREAT idea that could not only raise money for a charity, but this would sell a LOT of DVD's later on if they would put it out for sale.

And while Joe is one funny dude, Im sure Earl would throw out enough zingers to get his fair share of laughs.

Usually fellows with muscles have a hard time at golf...I'd bet Joe's not a golfer. (Or a good one, anyway)

Not that Earl is....

Needle Match!

The pool match should be about giving the needle to each other along with impressions and such during the match and the audience could keep score by laughing and cheering the winner of each exchange.

Earl has some GREAT one liners and I'm sure Joe with a little work could come up with something and everyone attending would have a great time.

The stakes could be whatever they wanted them to be and the victor would donate the winnings to his opponent's favorite charity.
