um, looks like a public statement for the records

IM not a violent man, people stiffed me for money when i was stuck tons and i lent them more so they could get home safe. I dont play pool to make money i play for social interactivity and to try and compete like i once enjoyed to do, I dont like to lose at any thing and wont ive up easily.

Anyways, round one

Dippy looses a little blood vs Scott frost aand 2 other hired guys who came into pool room held me down hit me and tried going threw my pockets.

Funny thing is right after my life was threatened, and my body beaten, i didnt go home.

I went and picked up the truck i let scott barrow. I am not afraid of you or your hired help.

i will not be extorted,

To Lenny, Jack, Billy, Scott,

I owe you nothing, you will get nothing. IM not one to seek revenge so i hope it ends here. Even tho scott told me billy gave him the green light to do this, i know billy jack and everyone else involved are alot smarter then that, and im sure it will end here.

Seems like somebody is making a public statement here to use if it comes in handy later.

I'm glued to the computer, and my head hurts cause I can't find the obvious solution...

Argh, should have read more Sherlock Holmes books... I need another clue...

Is Dippy lying, or is Scott lying?

Oh, btw, did Scott borrow the car, or pay 10k for it?

He has 50,000 reasons to lie. Based on the information given, its hard to say who's right and who's wrong. Both sides sounds convincing enough.

What strikes me as odd, Billy said that Frost bought an SUV from Dippy and paid him for it. Now, if Dippy owed Scott $50k, why is he paying for anything?

Also, Billy said he had $25k and a rolex on him. So did Billy and Scott get that $25k and rolex?

was wondering the same thing

Roy needs a CLUE - only obvious thing said in the entire thread  kidding Roy, it is quite entertaining.

Dave, I don't have a dog in this fight but Billy is a good friend of mine, and I feel I must say something on his behalf. I KNOW that number one he had absolute ZERO to do with what went down last night. And you know that to! Billy is much smarter than that. Number two, Billy tried to make a fair settlement with you, TWICE!

Bottom line you have chosen to stiff everyone involved for the last set of pool you played with Scott. And that's the name of that tune! What Scott did last night was stupid, plain and simple. He was probably fueled by alcohol and anger. What prompted his stupidity was your insistence on refusing to pay what you lost and then lying about it afterwards. We both know that, so don't try to paint it any other way.

I have a little advice for you that you really should heed if you are still capable of rational thought. MAKE THE SETTLEMENT and get this behind you! Your reputation is on the line, not the pool players you gambled with. You can say what you want about pool players in general and Scott Frost specifically, but in this instance, you are the one with egg on your face. This little encounter will haunt you and your reputation the rest of your life. It cannot be swept under the rug. All the poker players will know about it too, and many already do. If you care at all how you are perceived by your peers, you will make this right.

At the end of the day Dave, all we have is our good name. Do you want to sacrifice yours over this situation? Ultimately you will be the loser in this battle.

P.S. I know you paid Billy the extra 5,000 he bet. That is all! And Billy was in for half on the rest and you know that too. One more thing, either give Scott the title to the truck or return his 10K. That is the right thing to do.

Word up. Even Phil Hellmuth wouldn't pull sh!t like this. All over a pissy ass 50k. I would be ashamed to let the world know I couldn't take the heat for that amount. I know a couple of pot dealers you wouldn't pull it on. You would be in a hole already....

How does anyone but Scott and Dippy know for SURE that Dippy didn't pay (presumably the next day)? Yeah, circumstances point in that direction but based solely on these 2 threads, there is reasonable doubt. Seems Scott is capable of poor judgment. IF IF IF Scott did pocket the money, then to hide his thievery - what better disquise than a little tush push?

My jury is still out. But perhaps Jay, you're privy to DD's private confession of sorts via Billy.

Regardless, what a disturbing train wreck.

Jay you are a wise man & every word you say here is true..."if we lived in a perfect world" I am more on the same line as Justin stated earlier...Dave will still have all the customers he wants to gamble with since he is the biggest action around & willing to play high stakes...one session with him can be worth more than a whole year on the tourney trail...Like I stated earlier...This exact same thing happened years ago with my lil buddy Gary Abood & Mark Madson for 15k...now it is looked upon as water under the bridge & Mark still has respect from his cirlce even tho he never made good on his bet & owns a poolhall & has the means to pay....They should have got the 25k & the Rolex & are gonna have to be happy with 100k stead of 150...the old saying a bird in the pot is better than 2 in the bush...we might never know the whole story..but it is what it is & any human that ever was considered a gambler has been aired before some barrels bigger than others.

Trying to moderate

All right, I'm going to chime in here. At this moment as I write this Billy is in the process of trying to negotiate a deal with Dave. A settlement needs to be made so all parties can move on. The reality is that a debt like this cannot be just swept under the rug. Some air barrels won't fly if you get my drift. Scott used bad judgement in doing what he did last night. It may have been a combination of alcohol and anger that made him do it. And that is a volatile mixture every time. Billy is trying to work it out now and resolve things. If anyone can it's him. There is a reason why Billy is one of the most respected men in the gambling world. All top gamblers know who Pittsburgh Billy is! That's all I'm willing to say for now.

Jay, unfortunately Scott and Dippy are at an impasse, at least the way they see it. Scott contends that He won the money fairly and should be paid. He also doesn't like the way Dippy has handled not only this debt but how he has handled Scott personally. He say's that he has treated him lowly and like a fool, and even though he is just a pool player (whatever that means)he is not going to allow anyone to treat him this way, even if he is only a pool player. (but a damn good one) Enough with the pool player thing, but point well taken.:o

Dippy contends that Scott disrespected him when they were playing and doesn't deserve to get paid. Really. He says that when you have a good one hooked you should treat him with respect, because it's not often you get the opportunity to play with a gentlemen and especially for the amt that was wagered. Who ever heard of opening the door to let a little humidity in the room, I sure never have. And putting moisture on the balls was a first, right? Tricks like that are unforgiveable and should be treated as such. Ask any pool hustler. Geez, even the lilly white Dipper can contest to that. Futher more to have someone assault someone is crossing the line, finally some sense is coming out, but at a untimely time. But should that be enough to support Dippers reasoning for not wanting to pay or he he still trying to wiggle out of an obligation? What about the SUV? SUV,SUV, that's part of the package and I keep that too.:D

I tried to offer a settlement possibility as a solution to the problem, but Dippy says that he is not going to pay anything period. But he wants me to mediate this situation between him and Scott so that it can go away. He also said that i'm the guy who can do it since i'm the one pulling Scotts strings. There's only one guy pulling strings here, and it's not me pulling Scotts, I think it's you pulling everyones strings that are involved in this stupid mess. And it's also my opinion to you to release yourself from this denial mode that you're in and make this right and keep your reputation intact before it's too late. I really feel that you're an honorable man who has good intentions, but at this time you are acting stubborn about a situation that doesn't deserve the cosequent that you have given US.

100 cops came into the pool room while RW and DD were engaged in action. DD was confronted by some goon trying to help SF while he and RW were playing their challenge match.

RW was one set stuck at the time when the cops came, playing DD. So the two of the moved on over to the another pool room to continue their challenge match.

The post was being held for safekeeping by one of DD's friends.

Well, guess what? That guy flew the coop during all the hoopla with the heat. Hopefully, he'll return with the post.

Poor RW. :o

This post raises big questions for me! Number one is why is ronnie playing when Dippy allegedly never paid off the prior set??? Number two who in there right mind allows someone they aren't comfortable with and barely know hold the post??? Third all the matching up and action dippy has jumped into between his alleged air barrell and now was possible with billy and scott unaware and unpaid!!!

They never knocked his action or made moves to have the post removed and applied to dippy's alleged debts???

Am I alone with this line of questioning????????

Jay,

A great post to help your friends. I hope Dippy does the right thing here.

Chris

first of all the story billy tells is 99 percent true i have never said other wise.

i left and met scott the next day at wich time i paid him the 50k i owed him.

scott told me to please do him a favor and just meet him and pay so i did.

i was up along time went home went back to sleep then met with billy to square up with him.

as for not paying or needinh money, i have done more gambling since i played scott then anyone here could imagine so money isnt the issue.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

now tonight scott came into poolroom drunk with a huge black guy who roughed me up they attemted to rob me and assulted me, that how rational people do things,

i just got a call from my friends that scott just entered the rhino and was asked if i wanted any thing to happen to him wich i said no, i dont handle things that way.

i guess a 66 year old man, a world class pool player, and a family man with 2 kids resort to extortion and robery. you guys are great ambasdors for your spot and i think its great how everyone looks up to them.

Based on this above why did you not press charges when the police came to your rescue? Also, you said above you went to settle up with billy for what you owed him and I am left to believe that was a side bet and not the main bet as you said billy is 99 percent accurate!

But, what nags me is why you never disclosed to billy that you planned to pay in full to Scott when he was not present! I am certain billy would not have aggreed to those terms of payment! I can assure you of that 100% not 99%!!!!!!!!

Also, it is incredible you are in action and posting bets 30 plus hours after the alleged air barrell and no one is knocking your action or making moves for the post money to apply it to your alleged air barrell debt?

Please provide some insight on these questions!

DD is just straight-up admitting that he has just robbed Scott of half of 50k + maybe 10k for the SUV. How is not paying the last set different from directly stealing this money from Scott. Scott has every right to be extremely ticked off and to do what is in his power to get that money IMO.

Sure....it was gambling....but it someone broke into my house and I saw them walking out with that much of my money or things, you can bet that I would do everything in my power to get it back. I hope DD realizes that this is BIG money for a lot of people, regardless of whatever else that they may have already won from him.

For his own safety or at least piece of mind, I would pay up.

EDIT: Although, if it is true about Scott intentionally getting the balls wet/damp....this could take yet another turn....and I may change my mind yet again....
