Professional pool player, John Schmidt will be making the move from Florida to the Ohio Valley to takeover existing poolhall "The S-Bridge." It's great news for locals as John will be recovering the tables and bringing in another table to add to the already 7 diamonds. Might I add that John is a very nice, easy to talk to guy. He asks for opinions and keeps an open mind. We're happy to have you... welcome to Wheeling! S-Bridge address: 818 McColloch St. Wheeling, WV 26003 phone: 304-232-1558 Known for our famous steak sandwich

Depending on when, I may have the time to recover the tables for John, I won't be very far from you guys in October as I'll be at the Diamond factory about mid month.

Congratulations to John. What a great idea! First Hennessee from Tennessee buying a pool room and now John Schmidt. I really hope it works out. Living out of a suitcase on the tournament trail can get old after a while.

My father was from West Virginia, not too far from Wheeling, and the State is absolutely gorgeous. You're so close to Pittsburgh, PA, and Ohio. In fact, Wheeling being located in the northern panhandle of WV reminds me a little bit of Pittsburgh with the cool bridges throughout the city.

It may be a little bit of a culture shock to you at first, mainly because most people from West Virginia are genuinely nice. It is exactly as John Denver sang in the song. West Virginia really is almost heaven, about as close as you can get.

Just wait until you see the autumn there. GORGEOUS! Here's the famous Wheeling Suspension Bridge! :)

Wow, this is exciting news. When does John get there and how can I schedule lessons?

Pete

I have raced my bike over that bridge, I believe. I have suffered more that a couple of times in/ around Wheeling and it is a beautiful place. Decent location too, as far as driving to events goes.

So who is gonna tell us about the MX riding in WV? THink they got any? If so, think there are any hills! I am jealous-ish!

Good luck with the new room , John .
Remember , West Virginia is one of the few states you're allowed to serve Miners . . . .

Congrats John. I just looked it up and Wheeling is in range only about 5 hours, So I hope to be able to drop in occasionally watch and learn something from Mr 400.

I called the room that said he takes over on Saturday.

Good luck John I know this will be good for pool in Wheeling

...Boo :) :)

I'll have to come up and watch John play a little. Congratulations. That's definitely a more viable long term plan than most pros have, but I think he's always been smarter with his money than most.

There is already beer license here and John mentioned getting a liquor license as well. I will keep everyone updated and will try to answer all questions. Also there are 4 poker machines in a separate room. Food rocks here and the locals are stoke to know they will still have a place to shoot and we welcome out of towners. Stop by have a sub and meet some great players. Look for some good tournaments to come through and enjoy one of the most beautiful places to see the autumn come in. Truly heaven as someone earlier mentioned. Feel free to call for info.304-232-1558 thanks to everyone.
