My visa wouldn't allow me to get a normal job, i have a special visa for pool coaching and part of the visa was for being the referee.

The ABP is a joke imo. How can they raise sanctions on other events but let bonus ball get away with it. The SBE is now $7500 thanks to the ABP and Johnny's event.

They don't do anything for pool, unlike the darts players did in their sport.

Going in, they probably thought otherwise, who really knows? Maybe they thought in terms of cash flow via dues, large administrative salaries, licensing and sanctioning fees, possibly retirement and health care programs, maybe some advertising revenue, and certainly some personal perks. Let's acknowledge that power and prestige are always human factors, and favorable "seeding" for themselves and other select members has to be a huge potential factor as well.

Just think in general terms of why anyone would found and head any industry organization that they are a member of. It's always personal.

From the little of them I saw, staring into space and not remembering where to put the balls, I'd say it'd be a travesty if they WERE paid.
 
Lee - I think its a blessing for you. Hard learned of course but most things that matter are. From what I hear from numerous peeps your callin is on the coaching side (not that you can't do anything else; don't get me wrong). Lots of people putting you in a top notch category of coaching. Hope that avenue works for you and good luck no matter what you try. Bonus Ball ref was dead end at best.

I would love to see a similar list of bullet points of truth from Johnny Archer, both as the spokesperson for the APB and as the pied piper who lent his credibility to give this organization traction. These bullet points could lead us along the path from his initial involvement, through the growing pains that we have all seen and, more importantly, could also project a possible future that would hopefully show us that there might be a happy ending for the Bonus Ball girls, Lee Brett and the players.......innocents all!

If they don't produce the contract and said it never existed it turns into a "He said...She said". Good luck with that!

- Was left homeless as I couldn't pay rent and had to sleep in my car

- Forced by WPBL President to take ball sets in lieu of money, and signed paper agreeing to such under duress

- The WPBL then hires a new referee from England instead of flying me from East coast. This is confusing how the WPBL can afford to pay her when they flat-out robbed me blind and didn’t pay me for the work I had performed

- They changed the re-start dates to November, as Nathan and Dave's visa was to run out the 14th, not to accommodate anybody else but themselves.

- I learned the WPBL “Ring Girls” were also not paid

- Players were forced to fly to Vegas to get what they were owed and then play for $300 a match instead of the $1000 originally contracted.


I contacted Larry and numerous other staff who flat out ignored me trying to resolve it amicably, eventually i got a lawyer who has now contacted the labor commission who are now investigating.

This is very sad, Lee does what he is suppose to do for BB and in return gets double f---ked.

Not only does LEE not get paid, BB goes and hires someone else to do LEES job!

Bonus Ball you really do suck, all the way around!
 
Nathan has a work Visa eh. I wonder how long that would last if they found out he was working for an organization that didn't pay its employees and is under investigation.

Just wondering. I do that a lot. More than one way to skin a Bonus Ball. Maybe if the Visas ever existed, there might be a problem having them renewed.
