Okay I will hold him down and you can give him butterfly kisses until he just pays.

Jam, you are cool by me, but I give peace and love the 5 ball!

I am just saying there are other ways to handle these kinds of matters. Discussing on the forum the threats of murder and physical bodily harm isn't going to accomplish much. Furthermore, if the kid ends up dead or beaten up badly, well, the repercussions will be forthcoming to this forum, in more ways than one.

There are ways to handle a thief and a ripoff in the pool world without resorting to violence and murder. I'm not going to spell it out for anyone, but I sure as hell know how I'd get my money back with no problem.

I'm not defending anybody, but I am taking a stand on murder, killing, and physical violence.

You're forgetting one very important thing. This is an online pool forum. 99% of the people here saying that they'd kill him, murder him, rape him, tap dance on his face, fart in his general direction, or even smack him around a bit would likely do little more than call him a 'jerk' in real life. This is the internet. Its a place where everyone can act like a tough guy without having to actually BE one.

Drink a warm glass....and calm down. I think I am allowed to disagree with your shaming of people who are just giving their own opinions. I don't respect you cause you don't respect others. You're more likely to start a war than end one. Feel free to stand proudly...on quick sand. Done with you again, you won't get a response from me.

Oh and Russian Kenny...don't be a bum

You can disagree with anyone you feel like, but when you calling me "lame," I will respond in kind. I can see your recent "vacation" hasn't altered your forum personality.

There are legal proceedings currently in progress over the "fun and games" that happen on the Internet.

Threats such as the ones on this thread might be nothing more than fun and games, but if something happens to Russian Ken, the repercussions to this forum will not be pleasant.

The Federal Government, to include law enforcement, are utilizing the Internet more and more for investigations.

I agree that some of this talk is silly. However, I just brought up the topic to protect this forum's integrity just in case something does go down by some crackpot.

Jam, you know how much I like you... but c'mon. If someone gives Kenny a fat lip and a black eye, they are not gonna throw a net out, and start searching the internet for the guy who laid down a little muscle on this loser. Sometimes a loose tooth is all folks like that understand......

He deserves an arse whipping.. not death, not serious bodily harm, but a bruise or two to let him know he's going about things the wrong way.

Nobody wants the guy dead.... and the couple that proposed were just over excited....

The biggest surprise is folks borrow money to other gamblers ???? And loser ones at that... that I just don't get. Lent my brother $5k last month, but I thought long and hard on that one, but finally did so. But it was not to gamble with, he does have a job, and he is family, so even if he stiffed me, I did the right thing to help my brother out of a jam...... but he didn't stiff me, and is sending me $500 a month till it's paid off :)

Here is what I don't understand.

People are upset because they loaned a guy some money in a pool hall and didn't get it back. Were you unaware you were in a pool hall? If you knew you were loaning money to a pool player in a pool hall were you unaware he was going to gamble with the money you loaned him?

To me if you loan money to a pool player in a pool hall knowing he is going to gamble with the money, that is no different than backing a pool player. You back the guy, he loses, you lose. That's exactly why I don't loan money to pool players.

What am I missing?

The kid won $2,000 and got barreled on $7,000, right? One, the kid GAMBLED on getting paid by letting it ride on the wire. Two, he won $2,000 cash and he lost his bet on the $7,000, it wasn't stolen from him. Three, he actually WON money and didn't lose. Four, if you actually ended up on your money and had no chance of losing, you can't ***** about getting barreled on the rest of it......

And all of you spouting asswhoopings and bodily harm have watched too many movies....

Yeah, your story is incorrect. He won 7k, was paid 2k, then Kenny told him he needed it back in order to him to actually get his entire 7k...so he risked it and was never paid. And how is your (4) even real, get out of here dude. There's literally no way any logical person can say "you can't complain if you got air barrelled for money if you ended getting SOME of it." Even if "some" is ~28%. That's just a joke.

From what I understand Kenny had no chance of winning. It's a "free roll", he couldn't lose, he gets paid 2k, then gives it back hoping to get the other 5k? Cmon.... Really? There's your joke. He took his free 2k free roll and handed it back....

Should Kenny pay? Yes. Never going to argue that, but the kid should have taken the free 2k and had a good day.

I don't get it? Is the posture of the horse drawing the attention to its posterior region? Is it a reference to the saying about closing the barn door after the horses ran away? A general reference to (stake)horses? A play on the word Derby?

Possibly....or just a picture of a beautiful horse.

Saying it's a free roll is a complete misunderstanding...Kenny doesn't play horrible. And I think plenty of people can say that it's a fair game, if not a little on the bad end for Zack. He was just playing well and rolling with it. And dude, he's barely 16. What do you expect? I'm sure a lot of us would make that same mistake being so young.

I'll bet 1000 that Kenny will be at future events, barking at everyone, with or without money in his pocket. He'll also find people at future events to back him and/or loan him money.

Who wants that action?

Apparently, everything.

1. Loaning money isn't the same as backing.

2. They were not in a pool hall.

1. If you loan money to a gambler it is the same. Anybody who would loan money to a gambler and then complain about not getting it back isn't dealing with reality.

2. Distinction without a difference. Casino full of pool tables = pool hall.

Listen, Kenny's been the same his whole life. He is what he is. In the Philly area, every single person knows this, and they still gamble with him. They simply know to make him post.

The only thing different this time is he was far from home, at a national event, where people did NOT know him very well. So he was able to find "new money" that don't know his history.

I was playing poker for nickels, dimes and quarters at 13. Pitching coins against the wall for dollars at 14 and putting for ten and twenty dollars a hole at 16. So I hit the ground running when I started playing pool at 18.

Yes I got stiffed and I got threatened. But I learned and I grew up. The best education I ever got (and I have three years of college) was in the pool room. I can't tell you how many times someone has tried to run a con on me in the "straight" world, usually promising an unGodly return on my investment. Thanks to my pool room education I can always spot a con and smell a rat long before they finish talking. I just tell them thanks, I'll think about it.

One guy did get me for 4K on a stock deal. The stock ended up being worthless. I went to his home in Las Vegas and got my money back, after a small confrontation. He had promised to make me whole and I held him to it.

Another time I made 15K on a real estate investment (a limited partnership). The agent who put the deal together wanted everyone to leave their money in, so he could reinvest it in a new project. I wanted out but he kept putting off sending me the money. I camped out in his office one day and finally busted into his office. He was surprised and feigned anger, but eventually promised to cut me a check the next day. I wouldn't leave until I had the check in my hand. It took some doing, but I got my money!

The difference between investing in stock or real estate people expect it to be a legitimate, honest, respectable transaction.

"Investing" in a pool player who intends to gamble with your cash falls in a different category. How much money did you "loan" to Louie Roberts and how much did you get back?
