Coverage of mosconi matches in progress

Deuel makes a ball on the break but the layout is no bargain as a tough shot will be needed from the six to the seven. Still Team USA should be out. Corey misses a really simple five ball but leave just a safety, which Darren doesn't hit well. Safety battle won by Team USA and Corey has ball in hand. Hits the five ball poorly, leaving Hall just a bank, and Hall makes it, a heroic shot just when they needed one. wow! Team USA 4 Europe 2. Hall's bank on the six the shot of the day so far. Now let's close the deal.

Two nice long cuts for Corey - break and run USA. 3-1

Oh and very little if any talk between the two USA players when running out. Hi Lou

Give it time. As this goes on, the pressure mounts, and the decisions become more critical they will start to chirp to each other. They always do.

Appleton dry break followed by shocking miss of the one ball by Deuel.

Europe runs them and it is Team USA 4 Team Europe 3.

Europe owns the double hill break so the time is now for Team USA.

Again breaking off the rail and Euro's break from box. What's the rule?

From the matchroom website:

The Break Rules
- The balls will be racked higher up the table with the 9 ball resting on the spot
- The balls won’t be tapped balls and will be hand racked by the referee into a standard rack.
- Players will be permitted to inspect the rack but cannot ask for the balls to be re-racked, re-positioned or moved.
