Should there be full disclosure in PPV matches?

There's no way Ko dump the match like some would like to suggest.

This guy is World 9b, World 10b 2015 champ.

This is truly a naive statement.
You are exactly the type of person that would get cut up by a bunch of pros if your money was involved, and would be sitting there wondering what happened as they all went out and partied with your money while you sat at home broke.

Why do you think the NFL won't let owners have more than one team? Ever heard of team orders in F1 racing? Its common sense why promoters should be up front with basic facts of PPV events.[/QUOTE]

I heard of team rules but not sure how it relates to pool and a PPV event. They don't have team rules in F1 so that people can bet on a "fair race." Team rules does not prevent a racer from dumping a race. Total different scale

The NFL is not good example of the up and up. Glad the NFL disclosed that they limit it to one owner one team. I trust them...

I hope the promoter would be up front or risk losing his credibility. Thank you for making me (us) aware of the situation.

Ask Jayson Shaw what he got when he played Bergman. Make sure you are sitting down first. And I know what a player is getting offered to play next month.

Plus as JCIN stated, TAR matches did under their last format.

When John French is asking pool rooms and streamers to submit offers to host and PPV matches he is involved with, I can imagine (and somewhat know) what is being offered.

Ask Archer
Ask Morris
Ask Orcollo
Ask Woodward
Ask Bergman
Ask Shaw

I lost $100 on the match betting on Ko. I paid as he lost the match, but the idea that he might not have "lost" the match in quite the way I was betting on sucks. It is pool so this part of the nature of betting on the sport.

That said, will I "ever" bet on a match that John French puts together again or watch it/buy the PPV? Probably not.

Ever bet on a super billiards pit match? I've had this feeling myself.

Orcullo is slimy....then again if you survived like he had to in the Philippines, you would have a similiar set of beliefs. George Bernard Shaw,"Morality is a luxury of the rich".

If the match was a straight up gambling match and I was backing Ko and right after it was announced he was signing with French to be in his stable I would be very unhappy especially if the talks happened before the match or during it at some point. I do believe the match was legit and we saw some excellent in pool and a very close match for the first 2 days until Dennis stretched his legs a bit on the final day. Who was backing Ko?

You gonna blame him for Ko losng?
My late best friend used to stake Dennis in Manila. He said he didn't even have to watch all the sets. He said Dennis was the most trustworthy horse he staked.

When he has something to gain , I'm sure he is.

When a player can get somewhere by chopping the rail, his backer or sister Mary Katherine. ...he will do it. That's the way it's always been.

So Ko DUMPED???
But, Dennis is the slimy one.

That's because people you screw in Manila do something about it that you won't like. More of that that needed here, instead of hiding behind lawyers that you have on speed dial or whatever it's call now. Johnnyt

So, Dennis can't be slimy there ?
Just here ?
And Ko, who dumped ( allegedly ) , is not slimy. It's French and Dennis.

All I'm saying is most players are degenerates ...just the way it is. A guy who slept in abandoned cars and ate out of dumpsters, will do what it takes to survive. He doesn't care what anybody thinks of it. You know how Orcullo came up?

See I'd still bet on the SVB match because Shane wouldn't dump, nor is he going to lose. He has Dennis' number and is gonna shoot his heart out.

I hear you but it has nothing to do with SVB, Mars man or Dennis... Just French. period... shady character in my eyes. But again, thats my opinion.

Look.... My buddy and I were going to back Ko but we did not come to an agreement when it came to the money. Ko's backer did not back the match and from my understanding neither did Ko.
