The press release has gone out to the major web forum and publications.

This year's winner for the "St. Louie" Louie Robert Action and Entertainment Award is Jeanette Lee. Jeannette was named on 91% of the ballots received from the internet voters with 2/3rds of the first place votes.

Personally, I think for the award's sake, it's great to see a different winner every year. I was afraid that last year's landslide by Scooter mean that he would dominate the award every year. But, that didn't happen. Scooter was still exciting, but he really didn't get the attention this year.

As I noted in another thread, following Jeanette in the voting was Strong Arm and Harry Platis (who received more first placed votes than Richie Richeson who tied Harry in the voting).

Thank you.

This is great---Jeanette is a class act. She has poise, charm, and can play like a champion. It was great to watch her, her husband and Strong Arm John in action.

Congrats. It takes some moxie for a woman to go to DCC and step into the ring. Does anybody know how much she came out ahead or behind overall?

I just talked to Jeanette to congratulate her. She didn't know she had won. She informed me that she was sick all week at DCC. I kind of remember George telling me that late one night, while I was sweating one of Jeanette's games. That was why she was late getting to one of her pre-arranged matches (I think the one with Richie Rich). She was sick in bed all day, and still got up to go play, rather than call it off. That's a player!

She did spend plenty of time upstairs.

Congrats to J Lee.

I wish Jesse Boweman had played his matchups in the action room. It would be nice to see someone win the award who could use the free hotel for life more.

Congratulations to Jeanette on the win.

Congrats to Jeanette Lee for winning the Louie Roberts Award. With Jeanette stepping up more and playing the men and the WPBA having only two tournaments so far this year she is blazing the trail for other top women to play in more open events. Johnnyt

I am glad for Jeanette, for a woman to win the action award at the Derby is great pool History being made, considering it wasnt always a place for girls. It says alot about the Black Widow .I think it also says alot about the mens character that helped vote her in.It was good all around and well deserved Congratulations

Yes we men have come a long way baby. :). Johnnyt

A very well deserved award! Congratulations to Jeanette Lee.

I spent the midnight hours on the second floor til daylight or later every night, and she was in action non-stop!

I mean you have to vote her in, she's a monster. Gender has nothing to do with action. Hell can you imagine how many piggy banks she would bust wide open if she wasnt a pro and just a "female player." Goodness she could go anywhere and bust anybody with the spots she would have been getting. Anyway it was close, Bowman would have been a good choice too.

Congrats JL!

Scooby, if you're reading or someone who knows him is, tell him he can pay that $50 bet off at Derby next year, lol.

Did you make a bet on your own, and not with the corporation? And you won???

hmmm.... I don't know if I can forgive you for that.

Where did I put that "how to make voodoo-dolls for dummies"-book...
