A few old guys I knew when I was a kid could make it pretty regularly. It's a cool shot because of the slow speed needed to spin it back to the pocket. really cool shot, closest I've ever come is an inch from making it. I'll see if I can make it one-handed on film.

NOT the same shot, but similar. Much less angle. Regardless, the video is great to watch from start to finish... An AZ member made it (forgot name).
only counts if a beer is in the other hand and the lights are off.... I'll see if I can make it one-handed on film.
How good a player is Bob? His fundamentals look ropey to me. The way he lines up suggests he'd struggle to make it in the side, let alone the corner.
You'd be wrong.![]()
One of the other ways is how Vernon Elliot could do it for the "CHEESE"!I can set up the camera but my table is only an 8 footer at the moment so it wouldn't be quite as hard... I will tell you this tho there are 2 more ways of making it besides the way Bob did it.......
I was just talking about this exact shot the other night. I have seen this shot made many times, on a tight GC. I also recall seeing someone set that shot up but cut it back into the side pocket, not for sure on that one though.

Here are a couple of "impossible" cut shots:
