Yes, the balls ARE on the bed of the table.
Comments please.

I know Mr. Lee. I was just kidding. This was always my complaint about the older Diamond tables. The only good deep pockets are the ones that you can sue.Scott Lee said:I don't think either one of those balls, sitting by themselves, could be dug out of that pocket!![]()

Greg/Diamond said:I'd sure like some more information on the location of these tables........We did have very deep shelves on our first 7 ft tables..........
Also if the mechanic wishes to change the pocket depth and make it not so deep this is a relatively easy procedure; adding depth is much harder. He can call me at 812-989-6665 for instructions.......Greg/Diamond

What happened was I didn't take into account that when you make the pocket opening larger, this allows the ball to set deeper in the pockets due to the curved slate shelf. .......... When you place an object ball as deep as possible in the pocket against the facing and sight down the rail our spec is 40% of the ball must be visible......... Most of our tables sold are pro specs 4 1/2" and by increasing the pocket size for the 7 ft. tables reduced the amount of ball visible to about 30%, which makes it too difficult....But even saying that, We've never made a table that when the cue ball is frozen on the rail and the object ball is as deep as possible....that it couldn't be hit directly..... Would you sight down the rail on the 13 ball side and tell me how much ball is visible as I can't tell for sure with the tape measure in the picture. From the picture above it looks like it is more like 25% or less, just like to know....Also if the mechanic wishes to change the pocket depth and make it not so deep this is a relatively easy procedure; adding depth is much harder. The tables are in "The Break Room", Grand Rapids, MI, 616-454-0899. I will give your number to the room owner tomorrow morning.
I will also take some pictures at different angles to try and show you % that you are looking for and post them after league on Tuesday night.
