The ring game was great, playing in it was fun to say the least. I wasnt nervious, no stage fright etc, wasnt shaking, butterflys in the stomach, etc. I havent played in that enviornment ever and anything could have happened. I was confident, and felt 100% at home up there. Thats the real reason I played-I didnt say anything before about it but I needed to, it was to test myself in that venue for personal reasons-stemming from something long ago, I scored a 9/10. I wasnt intimated by any of the other players-20 years ago I would have been ratteled by that BAD.
For what ever reason pool is comming together for me later in life(i have awalys been a late starter in life) but thats cool, hopefully I will keep my eyes good, there is a haze in my left eye still but has zero effect on pool.
I didnt really have any shots the whole game, but thats ring games, so I never was in line to run a rack so the test of my nerves wasnt perfect but I know its not an issue.
I had 2 shots, first was a backwards cut on the 6 which was hard, I had to let the rock lose to make it, I saw a kiss/scratch possibility, I was scared to bank it and chose the cut, I scratched. But I that was cool because I did see the scratch it wasnt that obvious so I was happy I read it right. My other shot was a very low % shot for me anyways and I just missed it-it was the kind of shot that seperates the men from the boys. Other than those 2 shots I never had a shot. I know that if I would have been in line I could run out with everyone watching, I saw Efren for a few seconds, I think he left I wanted him to watch me hit some balls, I think he did before the game started(I want to play him and hopefully will this week)
It was 90 degress there the rails and slate were very warm, I felt like I was in a tanning bed. I like heat so I was fine, Had 2 bottles of water and a Mountain Dew. I sat next to SVB and we talked, I know him so that was cool-real cool.
I appericate all the support from everyone here from the bottom of my heart and that aint bullshit, its the God's honest truth. I did my best(wanted to win a game but just didnt have a chance), held up great, and will be back next year, I talked to Grady and I'm in.
oh yeah my back, i stayed in bed all day yesterday and was out for a few hours at night and stayed in bed all day so it would be good, its been bad recently, it wasnt an issue, by the time it was over I was hurting bad, but it 100% didnt affect my game,
no one asked for a autograph......LOL
