Do you have a Pool Table in your home?

Here's our 8-footer. It's a Brunswick Bradford. Centennial cloth. Aramith balls.
I shoot on this table EVERY day that I am home.

beetle,

Nice room  . I'm not too scared to come over and play, it's just that you are so darn far away. As for the "big fella" in the corner, I've eaten some of his/her kinfolk for dinner. Tastes just like roast beef :D !!!

I know they don't have Kodiaks in Texas! Must have been a black bear from west Texas, around El Paso? I've never tried it but if you know of a place that serves it, let me know.

Olhausen 4 x 8 Remington. 860 on the bed and 760 on the rails. Leather drop pockets. Aramith Super Pro balls, red circle cue ball. Standard three lamp light, ok for an eight footer.
I pretty much just knock 'em around when the mood hits me. Have a hard time getting into structured practice right now, but I try to hit some every day or every other day, at least.

I have a Gold Crown 4, with 4.5" pockets, 760 Simonis, with TV ProCup Aramith balls.

I do, however, use a Diamond rack (black), for when I trade-up for the best table in the world.

Complete course

Recently purchased a Crown III, in very good shape. Added A/C and new tile to my roomy garage. Put on new rubber and 860, plus an elaborate set of lights. The cars will have to survive in the driveway. Plan on having Jimmy M, Prince, Tres, and others over for fleecing. :D
Also, One Pocket lessons, Appt. only, $30,000 for complete course.(You won't understand the inside joke unless you are a 1P.org. fan.)
Will send pic's later.

One Pocket Dick
Damn Dick, I just sent the check to Artie, and your a lot closer.:D

I have a 8 foot valley coin op set up in my bedroom. I've woke up in the middle of the night on afew occasions and shot a rack or two for practice.

I just uploaded a brief video of my pool room. I got an 8-ft. Olhausen Monte Carlo in April '07 -- with wine-colored accuguard cloth. I use Pro Aramith balls (TV version). When I re-cloth, it will be standard green or tournament blue! :D I joined AZB after getting my table... I'm happy with Olhausen but would not have chosen a non-standard cloth color if I had been here first.

I play on this table every day -- but my game skills don't show it!

Looks like you have the same issue in your basement a lot of us do. Damn pole in the way. I have plans to remove mine and I intend to take step by step pictures to show it can be done. First I need money.

BTW, I hope those cues in the corner aren't any of your players. That'll warp them for sure. Very nice room. I left out my pictures because my room isn't finished.....; but I do have a table!

Nice Tables

I wish I had a poster with all the photos posted of tables posted on this thread.. That would be very cool!

I'm going to have to shop on Ebay! HA HA

Thanks -- yep, the pole is upsetting. But I work around it. I actually was going to demolish the bathroom until I found that there is foundational concrete behind the wall with all the pink floyd albums on it. So, I've got some short sticks (in the corner) to deal with the issue.

I appreciate what you say about warping -- but can you help me here -- why do you think they'll be warped? They are in a pool cue stand -- not exactly like this one, but somewhat similar. There was one that was leaning -- is that what you are referring to?

I wanted to upload a pic of my table in my post above, but I'm kind of a computer simpleton. I've resized one, and am going to give it a shot here. Hopefully it works.

I call this shot "Ode to the Unfinished Basement."

My bad, if you look close at about 38-40 seconds in your video it appears those cues are leaning on the wall. I apologize if I am wrong. If you keep them in the stand in the link they should be fine. Also there is another little know thing about cue storage most people aren't aware of. If it's a 2 piece with a pro-taper, or any playing taper cut in the shaft it can warp from long term laying flat on the table. This is because it's unlike a house cue where the taper is consistent from base to tip.The tapers cut into "players" shafts have a area that is never touching the table. Thus the weight of the shaft if left over time (especially in poor conditions) can develop a slight roll. But it shouldn't be enough to effect it's play. Also for that reason even when in a case I still keep them upright.

Later.

Looks to me like you got the most important things covered in your basement.

The table and light.

Thanks -- you are not wrong -- there was one cue leaning against the stand (although the tip was not leaning against the wall). I've re-arranged it so that one of my short cues (for the pole) is the one that's leaning.

I don't have any great playing cues -- what you see in that room are all Players, and a few short TroubleShooters. The one that was leaning was my CueTech B/J cue that I got as a gift. I do use it and considering what I have, it's actually one of my nicer cues. I'm slowly shopping for something nice. No idea what kind of cue I want yet -- but that's probably a discussion for a different thread!
