Dumping money matches !

Gee, you choose my post to question on this thread, when there are pictures being posted, innuendoes being made, and insinuations about a dump? WOW!

the only reason i chose your post was because of the one statement. i am not talking about anyone dumping. i just ment the part where you said you could elaborate but you aint was funny is all. i could care less about this thread or if anyone thinks anyone dumped because if they werent there and werent involved then they need not worry about it. i have always enjoyed the threads you post in because there is never a dull moment. sorry for the misunderstanding.

No problemo, Hustlin$$ from Chitown.

This is nothing new. It's been going on since the beginning of gambling, not just on pool, and will continue to go on. When people get desperate and short on funds they will often times do anything to make some quick cheese. Why do people steal? Most of the time it's because they are broke.

It is up to the staker or bettor to make sure they have their money in a good spot. I've never been dumped but have bet on the side of a few suspected dumps (luckily on the right side of most of them). If you know the slogan "buyer beware" and live by it then there should be no problem. It's always up to the staker or bettor to do their research.
I don't mind if someone doesn't cash and hold no ill will towards a player I buy in a calcutta or bet on. I made the decision to put my money up and that's that. This is why I also won't give jelly to someone I buy in a calcutta. I put up all the risk, I get all the reward.

I will hardly ever stake anyone simply because it's not a good financial decision in the first place. Rarely is anyone a 2 to 1 favorite in a gambling match, and if it is that case then the player usually has the knowledge or means to get all of their own money in the middle. There are only 3 players I trust 100% to play with my money, Stevie, Bruce, and B Whizzle. I would also trust Matt Bulfin with my money but not sure I'd put him in the "player" category, lol, jk sorry Matt.

The sum of all this is that dumping and chopping is gonna go on. It's just as simple as that. That doesn't make it right and it's the same as stealing in my opinion but if I get dumped or am on the wrong side of a dump when I bet then it's my own fault.

I realize nobody asked me how I knew it. You are right. Nobody told me not to say anything. I just don't like seeing Billy Incardona and/or Tony Chohan's name being thrown around in a dumping thread, as if they dumped. Okay?

Tony's name was never mentioned in this thread until you said it. Until you posted about Tony and Billy I never even thought about them, but of course now I am sure all of us have.

Have to agree with you on this one. It is buyer beware and pick your spots. Of course the dumpers better be smart in doing the same because I can tell you that dumping the wrong person could physically be a bad move.

Someone please let Cliff know this.... LOL

Yep - and if you believe the OP on that subject of people only asking to borrow when they are broke then you would believe that as soon as the person has money in their pocket, they will pay you back.

lol, I've got about 6-7 people that owe me money yet I see them at card games, gambling at pool, etc. None of them significant amounts but they now can't get any kind of help from someone that has the means to get them out of a tight situation. Kind of like ruining your credit at the bank.

Down with the dump

Aint that the truth...the Nitty Truth...I can't stand when people do that...owe you twenty dollars and instead of throwing you 5 bucks they went drink on it or gamble...hell if they win its not like they gonna throw you any jelly of your money any way. You can call me poor, you can call me thrifty....you can call me a bastard if you like, but aint no one gonna ever say I'm cheap...is there anything worse.(except for a theif) Which is what this whole thread is about....theifs get their hands chopped off in some places overseas...someone should keep an axe handy for dumpers and the like. Nothing else can show how little heart an individual has than to dump. I rank it up there with sandbagging. How miserable is must be to be a good player and spend all year in league shooting bad just for a pop at a few thousand at vegas. Like I've said before respect isn't something you earn on a pool table, but you can sure lose all respect for yourself on it by doing things like that.

Jay...That was, in no uncertain terms, the BIGGEST hustle EVER! $70,000,000,000, and still counting!:mad:

It's like anything else in life. "Let the buyer beware." How many rich and famous people lost millions investing with Bernie Madoff and Allen Stanford? They got dumped too, BIG TIME!

My point being is that there are all kinds of "dump artists" and some of them wear suits and don't play pool.

Well ..since i'm friends with Gary and have talked to jessie about timing.i guess you would be out the loop..i've talked to people about streaming the event..plus talked to room owners that can provide service with internet connection that wil surfice..the match will take place sometime in the near future..thx for your concern..Troy

Looking forward to it!

stakehorses

Is it not obvious that most really good shooters need to be stakehorsed. how come most to not play for their own money? The peole that put up the money do so because they can not win it on their own. It is Gambling....If the person putting up the money does not realize when their stakhorse is throwing matches ,Then he should not be putting up the money

I had the guy I was backing come to me and tell me the other guy was trying to get him to split my money between them. it ended up getting real ugly before it was all over. I think all thieves should have their hands cutoff.
I especially liked the idea of every pool room keeping an axe behind the bar for easy access to use in emergencies.

So it is OK to cut up a backer?

How about sexual assault...OK if a woman dresses like shes asking for it?

I think you were typing what I was thinking. I thought this only happened in our town.:yikes:
