Earl !!!!

Silver Reigns!

You know, since you pointed those quotes out, I'm going to join the other posters on this thread and sing it loud.

Sing it loud.
I'm Old School and I'm proud.

Sing it loud.
I'm Old School and I'm proud.

Sing it Loud.
Earl's Old School and we're proud.

Sing it loud.
Earl's Old School and we're proud.

Thank you, SUPERSTAR. I needed that! :D

This is Earl's thread but the Silver Kings keep on slaying young pups. See Nick Varner's last match....

Good luck the rest of the way, Donny. Not sure why you're being given a hard time here, and, at least for me, any information about the playing conditions on the stream table is welcomed and valued.

I agree. I mean, the guy just said "I think I played badly because of XYZ". HE is TELLING us that he didn't adjust to those conditions, and he believes it cost him the match. Where I come from, that is called being honest, not whining. You think good players get good by just shrugging off defeat and taking an "o well...guess he outplayed me, maybe next time" attitude? My guess is that Donnie just learned something about playing with boingy rails. Perhaps next time, he will adjust more quickly. I just don't get hammering on someone when they try to offer the reasons why they lost.

KMRUNOUT

Maybe older fossilized players are better at adjusting to different conditions, then new ones.:D

One day, when people say the name Mills, they're gonna think "winner." Just like DiMaggio is to baseball or, or Unitas is to football, that's what Mills will be to 9ball.

Based on what I saw last night Donnie maybe you should stick to playing club players!

If the match would've went the other way and Earl lost 11-3, then he came here and posted that the table sucked, lights sucked, or his ass weights weren't aligned right this thread would be 10 pages long not 5.
The bottom line is the man can play, and has a legitimate shot at winning. Earls experience won him that match. Think about it......... 25 years ago Earl didn't have the chance to say "this table sucks, let's go play on the diamond up front". He might have taken the best table available but the consistency wasn't there in the tables like it is today. Earls in a TOUGH bracket with SVB, Mills, Raj, Bartram, etc. There's a pretty good chance whoever wins that bracket will be so in tune with their game that they will win the open. There's a lot of talent in the open but Earl can surely play well enough to win it! I know I'm routing for him.

Earl

Once a winner, always a winner. It just doesn't come around as often as you get older.

Maybe we should get the time machine ready and see if he can beat Earl's high gear from 20 years ago.:D

Lol wow. First off the tv table was so boingy I had no clue how to control the cue ball. Secondly one section of the tv table lights was not working and I couldn't see the angles very well at all. I was really disappointed losing like that.

Back to the other topic. Iusedtoberich if u wanna stake Earl in the rack ur own 9ball us open format race to 60 over 1 day I'll lay you a price on the money. Or I'll play rack ur own ten ball even all the way around. Only stipulation is no talking or antics.

This post is very disappointing...

Original thread was started to celebrate/ inform Earl's friends and fans the awesome match he played. It did not mention his opponent and no bashing toward him.

Donnie, we all know you're capable player, but Earl just played better than you in this particular match! This was one of few highly anticipated match because of both your caliber. People were watching and speculated. I'm sure if you had beat Earl, someone would had started a thread about your win. Although I think by your whining post here you may have lost few fans here...

Plus, there is no need to bark. No one said you were a bad player. They're just saying Earl is on FIRE!

Earl is on FIRE

Earl IS on Fire....

Both he and Shane are running over everyone so far. I predict an Earl, Shane first bracket hot seat match well they'll go on to the finals bracket anyways.

Let's balance the pages Sunny. Donny informed us why he didn't play well on the tv table this time and it didn't sound like whining to me or some others.

iusedtoberich poked Donny in the eye about being happy that Earl BBQed Donny.

Under Article 15 of the Code (Subchapter III), Donny is entitled to let some non-judicial punishment, including reprimands and restrictions of privileges but not limited to these.

iusedtoberich could spend time in the stockade for this offense but it is not necessarily a given.

Earl, well, Earl just keeps on firing balls in the hole, whispering sweet nothings to the crowd and wailing at the wall of tears. The Internet crowd buys more time on the Accu-Stats PPV live-stream because of Earl and life goes on.

OK... Maybe the rails were more lively than he was used to and lights were not perfect to his condition  But when you hear those words our of a player who's lost the match - it just sound like whining... Did you ever notice no player who just won says..."Wow, I didn't play great, some how uneven lighting and liveliness of the rails help me pocket helped me pocke balls in break and helped me run out...

Hmm, players should not poke eyes... I think they're supposed to poke balls instead :p

YUP.......that says it all :)

Might have to get a new license plate:

6XUSOPN

Sheesh, if Earl wins a 6th green jacket, that's Nicklaus-like!

If he had any more green jackets, he'd have to hold an Elton John-like auction to sell them off just to clear out closet space.

Oh yeah......

Well, I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There's no other player on the face of the earth, including the almighty Efren Reyes, that can generate as much action on a thread in this forum than Earl Strickland.

Come on man. Seriously?
You gotta lighten up in a huge way.
It's all in good fun.

People can root for whomever they want and celebrate when someone loses if they please.

Read the thread.

And you let us know if some playful ball breaking is out of the question.

Donny is a great player and that goes without saying. But that doesn't stop the fact that he did in fact criticize the older generation of players, and Earl made him eat those words.

But now you want someone BANNED because YOU don't like it that they enjoyed him losing?

Busting stones is a part of pool. I think it's a pretty safe bet that Donny is gonna take a couple of time machine shots from the boys back at home, and probably laugh about it.
