I'm a bit lost.. there's a sticky that's been up for years that has Fast N Loose doing escrow for $20. Were you saying you would charge between $100 and $150 foe the same service??

For higher end cues and with Kenny's knowledge and connections, it's well worth it.

That is not to say anything negative about Marcus' escrow service.

Either would be good.

Kenny I know you will take a lot of the apprehension away from buying a higher end cue on line.I will not hesitate to use your service, plus just about everyone on AZ knows and trust you.Good Luck in your new and much needed venture.

Kenny, great to know that if l spend $10,000 on a cue, at least l know it will be Right if you inspect it first!
To many hard luck stories on here lately.

Not sure what everybody's policy is when buying cues from folks on here but this is what I do and It has worked for me. I ONLY DEAL WITH LONG STANDING AZ MEMBERS WITH 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACKS. If I want a cue from somebody that is brand new to az or has little or NO feedbacks the only way I do business is IF they send the cue to me first, I send payment to them after everything checks out, otherwise I just send the cue back. But I'm all for anything that works to better our cue dealings, thanks Kenny ! Dan[/SIZE]

Read his sticky. The fee is $20 + the shipping both ways.

See, this eliminates a guy like me from being able to do business with you just because of my join date. I haven't been here long, but I would think that I'm a seller's wet dream. I do what I say I will do, I pay cash if possible, I haven't yet asked for a discount on anyone's asking price and I even drove 1650 miles round trip to put cash in the hand of a seller 18 hours after we struck a deal.
I believe I've bought north of 30 cues from 4 sellers in 5 weeks, and that's not including two cues I've tried to buy but the seller's haven't been available when I was in their city.

It's too bad really, a few bad apples have to spoil the fun...
 
Good idea!

Sounds like a great idea. I think it will also be good for us that is abroad to have a good source to help us out selling our cues. I don´t mind sharing some green for a good job and the sell would probably give a bit better in return when using a well known cue guy like you.

.. and do you know how many people opt for this 20 dollar service? Very few. The same people who ship without insurance, without a required signature, and the same people who wrap a cue in newspaper and not bubble wrap. As I said before, thankfully its only small deals that seem to be the issues.

Its a great gesture by both guys.

You are missing the point being made here. He did not say he would not deal with a noob. He said he requires the cue first, then he will either ship the cue back or the cash.

A good reputation is earned, not just given. Unless a member with a very good reputation can vouch for you, then you need to go through the process.

Kenny's price is very fair. I've lost a $hitload of money on two deals on AZ. There are few people I will deal with and Kenny is one of them.

People complain about the cost of insurance until they need it. Then cry like a little child when they get robbed.


The choice is yours and the service is being offered. Take it or leave it.

This was my first thought also but after thinking about it, it's more then fair. When insureing high end cues it may cost $30-$75 just for insurance and then add the shipping. You would be in Kenny's price range. I would use Marcus just because I could drive to his store but would not hesitate to use Kenny's service too. Thank you Marcus and Kenny for offering this service.

What I really do not get is why is anyone shocked that this is happening? OK.. you have options. Its called delivery confirmation, or signature required and insurance. Yes its a few bucks more, but everyone reads the same scams time and time again and yet STILL ship the cues like they are a sending out a post card.

Almost every time there is a problem, its the same thread. Did you use signature required? No. Did you insure it? No.. "well you know you should have". No sh*t Sherlock. You can look at the box and know how it was sent. Does it have an insurance or conrifmation stub? Oh no.. ok.. box lost, me get free cue, you're stuck.. go F yourself. But yet, everytime someone will ship it the most riskiest way eff'ing possible and then say.. Oh why me? Why did I get fOOked?

Thats the amazing thing. Its done time and time again, yet time and time again people bungle the shipping. When someone that ships out cues frequently does this, then IMHO you are asking to have Johnny Cakes come up behind you dry, with a condom made of sandpaper.
