Happy 69th birthday Beard! Thanks for all your stories, books, DVDs, "Banking with the Beard" clothing, contributions here and at OnePocket.org, the emails, phone calls, etc, etc. "The GosPool" was one of my all time favorite pool books. You have for certain left a big mark in the pool world and I hope you leave many more in the years to come.

I'm not done plugging you just yet....I also appreciate how you looked after Bugs and kept us informed about his condition to the end, which was brutal for you. You come off like a bowery-boy rogue, but you got a giant of a soft heart. I also appreciate all the help you (and Grady) have given to Steve Booth at the H.O.F. banquets. You have one of the best websites (http://www.bankingwiththebeard.com/) I ever ever seen, full of great vintage videos and assorted historical tidbits all in one site!

Also, I've always enjoyed anything you've done at Accu-Stats while in the booth. You're a gifted communicator. Just as Grady and Billy have their own style, so do you. I really appreciate the way you spin humor into most of your descriptions of things.

You've brought a whole lot of entertainment to many of us. I have learned tons of new info on players because of your sharing stories with us. That you are so accessable is another great plus! In short Fred, like Grady and Billy, you're a treasure to many of us.

I hope you have a great day celebrating with your family and friends. And I really hope that the upcoming years are some of your best ever! Thanks for loving pool like you do, for appreciating the history and respecting the players and most of all, for sharing all of it with us!

Happy Birthday buddy!

69 was a very good year, for old time hustlers and men with beards. 69 was a very good year, for gambling men and writers we hold dear. 69 was a very good year! So enjoy it smart ass!

Happy Birthday from all over the globe, The Beard! Love your books and DVDs, without you writing a book I could have not known you at all, so good you decided to share your knowledge and fascinating road stories. You sure have a lot to tell, so keep them coming!

Happiest Birthday to THE BEARD!!!!!!!

Freddy...Terry said it BEST...every bit it! So, all I can say is DITTO! Hope you have a great day (my wife's BD was yesterday, and we're here in Chicago)! FYI, I'm doing an exhibition at Illinois Institute of Technology (35th St...you came down there before, to see me) tomorrow from 3:00-5:00. If you're up to it, I'd love to have you come down for a bit (and maybe show us thing or two!). Bring a few books and videos, and I'll try to steer the kids into buying some. Happy Birthday my friend!
