Has anyone every heard of Fast Larry Guninger ?

Haven't read the majority of these posts, but I can tell you, when I lived in Atl, there had to be at least 20 of us that would have made like Michael Phelps and breast-stroked through a river of excrement to play this idiot. Blow-hard, pure and simple. Can't beat anybody.

thats funny

Only then did I realize that I had seen the unicorn of of the online pool world.

What a tool bag.

<-----would have paid lots to see E "contact" Slow Larry.

Gotta be one of the top ten quotes roflmao !!! Now for some wierd
reason I want to go watch Lord of the Rings ....strange. Only thing I
know about that guy is I met him at a tournament in Atlanta when I
1st started playing and he offered me lessons, I asked why he was not
playing in the tournament and he left his card and walked away . A
unicorn that's priceless

I do not know what your problem is with me, but if I have said something to make you mad, how about we just let it go with my apology to say I am sorry and let it ride. If you want to continue to take shots at me, that's OK, it does not matter to me any more. Any questions about me, just call, get the straight scoop, 770-381-6609.

I travel all over the country, and maybe we will run into each other some time, and allow me then to entend my hand in friend ship to you then. I am a big supporter of room opeators and military men, I do a lot of free shows on bases. I am from Missouri like you. We may have more in common, than you realize.

Best wishes,

He use to post here until he was banned. That was years ago though. I think his handle was "fast larry."

Thanks for all the advise and information guy's, but I think Larry got the message. He must be reading AZ Billiards daily and collecting information and contacting those who publicly post an email address.

I received another email form Larry last night, apparently he say this post on the forum and here is what he had to say, I hope this is the end of it.

I figured it would be a mistake reaching out to you. It was. I shall not bother you again, with my, as you say, BS. My apologies again. I hope you had your fun, at my expense.

Best Wishes,

Fast Larry

Larry since you are visiting the forum please take time to read the following.

Larry if you are reading this, please do what you said you were going to do above and do not bother me again. I have enough information about you to know I want nothing to do with you. Remember I am from Missouri and yes I am a Red Leg so don't Piss me off of I will find you and come visit you and teach you a Trick Shot or two!!!!!!!!!;)

The only difference being...

Muhammed Ali and Hank Aaron were at some point in their life THE BEST
at what they did. This guy appears to be a complete choad from the very beginning. He and that guy SUPERSTROKE should probably hang out. I'm pretty sure they could convince each of other of just about anything.

There are plenty of pool players that were former pros that still declare themself a pro as well. It would be like Muhammed Ali calling himself a professional boxer or Hank Aaron calling himself a professional baseball player. At one time, they were the greats of the professional game but not any longer.

this is real simple,if i go around saying im one of the best trick shot artist then everyone can call b.s. because im not a great trick shot guy.

on the other hand ive seen many b player trick shot guys getting alot of press because they say things that arent true. like they are great players and are tour speed.gunninger is a prime example.

I didn't know you had to be any sort of "speed" to play on the tour. Only pay your entry fee. :)

but ive watched him play, hes horrible and claims to be one of top 50 upa pros etc.he also says he has like 20 world records at pool.

this is whats wrong with pool anybody can say their pro and there is noway to tell whos full of it.lol
sick thing is he probably makes 6 figures like the other trick shot guys who cant play either all the while claiming to be one of the top poolplayers in the world.
his website is completely comical ,he claims to be a top player and he can barely run a rack.amazing

John, when did you see Larry play? I watched that seniors thing on TV and I must say that Mosconi sucked, Crane sucked, Lassiter sucked, etc. and I would venture to say that none of them on that day could beat a Fast Larry in his prime.

Larry's eyes are shot and he never practices like he used to.

I tell you what. I got money that says Larry can put an object ball in the mouth of a pocket and the cue ball deep in the mouth of the opposite corner pocket and that he will make the object ball and draw the cueball back into it's original corner pocket more times than you can. As a matter of fact, there are lots of pool shots that Larry can do that you can only dream of.

Other than that John, you are a stand up guy.

Stop saying that trick shot guys cant play.

In order to be a true pro you must respect all games. Larry has no respect for Mosconi's game, he voiced this entirely to loud for me. He has no respect for any other pro. I know this cause I have spoke to him. He has no respect so he gets no respect.

You are a complete liar....paints on fire.

I have spoken to Larry before and he has a nice story where Boston Shorty wiped him in 9 ball for some cash. Larry has lots of respect for a lot of pool players. He has traveled to liabraries to research great players because he has respect for them.

can anyone else make his 13 rail or something like that. He claims he's the only one. Just wondering, John?

Hell no nobody has ever done that but the Fast One.

Go to the CCB forum and look at Chris Cass's post regarding him trying to do this shot. He used everything from spraying silicon spray on the table to slicking up the cue ball.

What the idiots on the CCB didn't realize is that the 13 rail shot takes skill. You must make the cueball jump off the first rail and hit the second rail while in the air with the proper amount of spin. And last but not least, you have to have that power stroke that few pros have LOL. Got that John?

FL Running a Rack

I also watched numerous videos on FLs website. The only attempted running of racks that I saw was the attempt to run a rack without the cueball touching a rail. This is more difficult than most would agree.
Watch Speed pool and we all say it is easy. Try it. I have and even though I can play a fast game, It is tough. I heard FL had a stroke a few years back and has eye trouble. I am 62 and also grew up in Kansas City. I never heard of FL when I was young and the word gets around who the players are. Like FL I guess I am a has been, dreaming of the days of a super stroke and the money game. I mean no offense to any pro player, but few stroke the ball as well as FL in his prime, but I reserve my judgement of Larry as a player. We will probably never know if his memory of his game is exaggerated. I played enough to remember that I was not consistent to play at a pro level. But I played better than most. I understand FLs need for accolades. Pool was his life. I had a family and career that interrupted my game and yet I still long for respect. It is true in any career, what have you done lately.

You are a complete liar....paints on fire.

Well I certainly hope that his paint isn't on fire. Thats the next worse that can happen to a person whose pants are on fire.
I've gotten rid of my eyelashes and eyebrows compliments of a propane bar b cue, but never my paints.
